CoreCivic is seeking a Vocational Instructor to deliver vocational and/or occupational instruction in a secure institutional setting. You will cover trades such as business, computers/technology, carpentry, plumbing, and related fields to help inmates/students acquire vocational skills.

Responsibilities include planning curricula, documenting study programs, delivering engaging lessons, and assessing progress.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
• Four years of full-time wage-earning experience in the subject vocational trade or career readiness skills, or three years as a certified instructor in the specific trade.
• Must possess or be eligible for required credentials or licenses by contract/state.
• Continued employment contingent on maintaining agency credentials.
• Ability to give clear instructions in the trade/vocational area.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications is required.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Minimum age of 18 years.

Responsabilités

• Prepare course objectives following curriculum standards and contract requirements.
• Plan and document a program of study meeting students' needs and abilities.
• Provide instruction using handouts, texts, audiovisual aids and other materials; evaluate performance and issue progress reports.
• Assist students with additional instruction as needed.
