Calvert Masonry Inc. in Manassas, VA is seeking a skilled Foreman to lead frontline field crews on commercial projects. You will direct daily masonry operations and serve as the primary field representative on the project.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on masonry and lead experience, reads blueprints, and ensures safety and productivity. This full-time, field-based role offers growth and competitive pay across Northern Virginia and the DMV area.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on commercial construction, masonry, with prior lead or foreman experience.
• Strong ability to read blueprints, elevations, shop drawings, and layout markers.
• OSHA 10- or 30-Hour Construction Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a strong advantage.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise daily masonry operations, including manpower, sequencing, layout, material flow and equipment utilization to maintain safe and productive operations.
• Direct personnel on the project; monitor workforce productivity, quality and safety; adjust crew organization as required.
• Serve as Calvert's primary field point of contact with the General Contractor and coordinate with GC and other trades regarding schedule, access, sequencing and other conditions.
• Review contract and shop drawings to plan and direct the work; identify conflicts and communicate them promptly.
• Maintain material inventories and forecast project needs; coordinate material orders and deliveries in advance.
• Monitor project schedule and advise management of conditions affecting time, cost or performance.
• Maintain daily reports, in-place production quantities and field records.
• Plan and coordinate equipment, scaffold and logistical needs with the Superintendent.
• Maintain regular communication with Superintendent and Project Manager; elevate issues needing action.
• Knowledgeable in scaffold systems, crane rigging/hoisting, masonry and grout systems and related safety requirements.
• Elevate unresolved field issues to management with sufficient information for action.
• Perform production work as needed; primary focus remains planning, direction, and supervision of field operations.
