Job summary

Group 1 Honda Greenbelt is seeking an Automotive Technician / State Vehicle Inspector to join our service team. The role emphasizes vehicle safety, regulatory compliance, and delivering precise, quality work in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires a Maryland State Vehicle Inspector License, 3+ years of experience, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Daily duties include inspections, report writing, and ensuring customers receive accurate service recommendations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of automotive technician experience.
• Must be available to work Monday through Saturday.
• Maryland State Vehicle Inspector License required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Inspect automotive vehicles to ensure compliance to emission standards and governmental regulations.
• Inspects truck accessories, air lines and electric circuits, and reports needed repairs.
• Examines vehicles for damage, and drives vehicle to detect malfunctions.
• Tests vehicle components for wear, damage, or improper adjustment, using mechanical or electrical devices.
• Applies inspection sticker to vehicles that pass inspection, and rejection sticker to vehicles that fail.
• Prepares report on each vehicle for follow-up action by owner.
