Job summary

Norris Ford in Dundalk, MD is seeking a Maryland State Inspector to join our service team. You will perform Maryland state inspections on cars and light-duty trucks, applying your maintenance expertise and strong customer service to ensure quality inspections.

This full-time role offers $35/hr plus a flat rate based on experience, with Monday–Friday hours and a rotating Saturday schedule, plus industry-leading benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Certified Maryland State Inspector credential required.
• 3+ years inspection experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide Maryland state certified inspections, accurately & efficiently.
• Repair issues to pass inspections; communicate with Service Manager.
• Work independently and document into CDK.
• Drive vehicle to verify information from the inspection.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Other duties as assigned.

Maryland State Inspector/MSI

Fantastic opportunity for a Maryland State Inspector to join our growing team at Norris Ford in Dundalk, MD. Use your vehicle maintenance expertise and excellent customer service skills to excel in this position. You will perform Maryland state inspections on cars and light duty trucks.

Compensation & Schedule

• $35/hr+ flat rate (based on experience)
• Monday - Friday with a rotating Saturday schedule

Essential Functions

• Provide Maryland state certified inspections, accurately & efficiently
• Repair issues with vehicles in order to pass inspections, communicate with Service Manager
• Ability to work independently and document into CDK
• Drive vehicle to verify information from the inspection
• Maintain safe and clean work area
• All other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience

1. High School Diploma or GED required
2. At least 3 years recent (within the last 6 months) of inspection experience
3. Valid driver's license
4. Certified Maryland State Inspector
5. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently
6. Excellent customer service skills
