Qualifications

• Valid Maryland State Inspector certification.
• Additional automotive training or certification preferred.
• Experience in automotive inspection or repair is a plus.
• Strong understanding of vehicle systems, safety regulations, and emissions standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive safety and emissions inspections on vehicles in compliance with Maryland state laws.
• Identify and document any vehicle deficiencies or repairs needed to meet inspection standards.
• Communicate inspection results to customers clearly and professionally, providing recommendations for repairs as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, including documentation of passed and failed vehicles.
• Stay updated on state inspection regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely and efficient repairs are completed.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and practices.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and courteously.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
