Job summary

RETTEW is seeking an experienced Maryland-licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to lead survey projects and provide licensed oversight for work supporting clients throughout Maryland and the Mid-Atlantic. The role is based from a RETTEW office in Pennsylvania, with hybrid work options.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Professional Land Surveyor license is required.
• Significant surveying experience with project delivery responsibility.
• Ability to lead survey projects including scope, schedule, budget, and client expectations.
• Strong knowledge of Maryland surveying laws, regulations and standards.
• Experience reviewing plans and coordinating field/office survey operations.
• Willingness to travel to project/client locations as needed and collaborate hybrid from an approved RETTEW office.

Responsibilities

• Lead surveying projects from scope through fieldwork, production, review, and delivery.
• Provide licensed professional oversight for Maryland surveying work.
• Review and seal survey plans, plats, and deliverables per Maryland requirements.
• Serve as primary client contact, managing expectations and deliverables.
• Develop scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Coordinate field crews, CAD professionals, PMs, engineers and other disciplines.
• Mentor survey professionals and support proposals and client growth.
