Job summary

Solar Landscape, a leading community solar developer, seeks a seasoned Community & Municipal Engagement Manager to drive outreach across Maryland, with a primary focus on the Baltimore region and utility territories. You will build meaningful partnerships with cities, nonprofits, businesses, and community leaders to expand access to affordable clean energy.

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will support subscriber acquisition, project development, and strengthen Solar Landscape's

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years in community engagement, government relations, public affairs, business development, nonprofit leadership, clean energy, utilities, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with municipalities, officials, community organizations, chambers of commerce, economic development groups, neighborhood associations, nonprofits, and local business leaders.
• Educate municipalities, community organizations, businesses, and residents about Maryland’s community solar program.
• Identify and engage residential and commercial subscribers with local partners.
• Facilitate and enroll residential customers at in-person events.
• Represent the company at community meetings, events, and outreach activities.
• Build long-term relationships across Maryland and expand access to community solar.
• Identify strategic partnerships to broaden subscriber opportunities.
• Maintain records of outreach activities and partnerships.
• Act as a trusted resource for stakeholders through project lifecycles.
• Lead stakeholder engagement for new community solar project applications.
• Collaborate with internal marketing, policy/legal, compliance, operations, project development, and subscriber teams.
