Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) is seeking a Software Development Manager to build and lead a new software engineering team focused on integrated marketing technology capabilities.

This player-coach role blends people leadership with hands-on architecture and delivery. You will hire, mentor, and guide engineers, collaborate with product, marketing, data, IT, security, privacy, legal, and other AMD teams, and drive AI-enabled automation initiatives with strong governance and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience leading software engineers and delivering production software.
• Strong full-stack knowledge across back-end systems and user-facing applications.
• Experience guiding architecture and technical decisions through production delivery.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and mentor a software engineering team focused on MarTech apps and automation.
• Establish engineering practices, standards, and expectations for quality and delivery.
• Translate marketing and business needs into technical requirements, architecture decisions, and delivery plans.
• Guide the design, development, deployment, and operation of full-stack applications, services, automation, and integrations.
• Remain close to technical architecture and delivery, contributing directly to technical problem-solving where needed.
• Partner with Product Management, Marketing, Creative, Data, IT, Security, Privacy, Legal, and other AMD teams.
• Apply AI and automation where they can create measurable value, with validation, security, privacy, and operational controls.
• Establish measurable goals for delivery, reliability, system performance, and continuous improvement.
• Hire, coach, and mentor engineers while maintaining focus on team and product outcomes.
• Communicate technical direction, progress, risks, and trade-offs to stakeholders.
