Job summary

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience speaking a second language.
• Advanced High or Superior language proficiency in the target language; non-native must provide evidence (e.g., OPI).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong public relations and communication skills.
• Good prioritization and organizational abilities.
• Must maintain confidentiality and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Reports to supervisor or trainer in Training Department.
• Assess language abilities of missionaries and teacher applicants.
• Report language-specific ratings to Language Evaluation Supervisor.
• Participate in regular individual trainings to improve reliability and accuracy.
• Participate in group trainings to improve interrater reliability and accuracy.
• Support a harmonious and trustworthy department environment.
• Perform secretarial and clerical tasks as needed.
• May role-play as a non-member to illustrate language concepts.
• May take on other duties at the MTC as assigned.
