Job summary

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience speaking a second language
• Advanced High or Superior language proficiency in target language
• Able to work independently
• Confident working under minimal supervision
• Excellent with public relations and communication skills
• Able to prioritize and organize
• Required to keep sensitive information confidential and work in a professional manner

Responsibilities

• Assess the language abilities of missionaries (pre-MTC and in-residence) and teacher applicants.
• Reports language-specific ratings to the Language Evaluation Supervisor through appropriate channels.
• Participates in regular individual trainings to improve intra-rater reliability, evaluation skills and accuracy.
• Participates in regular group trainings to improve interrater reliability and accuracy.
• Supports an environment of harmony, trust, and good will within the department and the MTC.
• Performs secretarial and clerical tasks as needed
• May take on additional responsibilities as an Actor to role-play as a non-member interested in learning about The Church of Jesus Christ
• May include other temporary duties at the MTC (e.g. assisting with Mission Leadership Seminar)
