Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks dedicated Full-time Flex Houseparents. A two-person, married-couple role involves living in on-campus student homes, supervising 8–13 students, and guiding their daily routines, safety, and spiritual life.

Responsibilities include supervising, budgeting, chauffeuring, and facilitating activities. The position offers comprehensive benefits, paid training, and relocation support for qualified couples.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Couples must be legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limits: fish and one dog of approved breeds.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities, and planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities with students.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
