Job description

Couples and Relationship Therapist (EFT), Licensed or License-Eligible

Thrive is hiring a Couples and Relationship Therapist to join our team in Englewood, CO (Denver Tech Center). This is a full-time, W2 position for a therapist who wants to grow their skills in couples work, particularly Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). You don’t need to be EFT-trained already. If you’re drawn to relationship-focused, attachment-based work, we’ll help you build the skills. Couples make up roughly 70% of our new client inquiries, so you’ll have consistent referrals, a furnished office, and administrative support to help onboard new clients.

Day-to-day responsibilities include providing couples and individual relationship therapy. Family therapy, or child/teen therapy clients are available as well, depending on your training and interests.

Full-time therapists typically see 20+ client hours per week once their caseload is established, with availability 26-28 hours per week for client appointments (including at least two evenings and possibly a weekend shift) . We offer individual and group supervision, including up to 4 hours a month of group learning and a peer support group, with supervision from our EFT Supervisors, including AAMFT-Approved Supervisors. Sessions are primarily in person, with some teletherapy via secure video.

Compensation and benefits:

$70,000-$100,000+ annually, based on a base commission structure plus accelerator bonuses tied to monthly client hours. Pre-licensed therapists at a full caseload typically earn $70,000-$85,000. Licensed therapists typically earn $90,000+, and EFT Certified therapists earn over $100,000. Benefits include employer-sponsored health insurance, a 401(k) with up to 5% match after one year, paid vacation, life insurance, optional dental and vision, a $500 annual education stipend, free individual and group EFT/MFT supervision, a fully furnished office, and marketing, referral, and admin support.

Qualifications

• Colorado-licensed (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, PhD, PsyD) or license-eligible, or graduating this semester from a graduate program in a mental health field
• Based in Colorado or planning to relocate
• Strong interest in couples work, whether or not you’re already EFT-trained. Training in EFT, EMDR, AEDP, IFS, or other couple modalities, or an interest in family or child/teen therapy, is especially welcome
• Comfortable with an attachment-based, trauma-informed approach to relationship distress
• Commitment to ethical practice, client confidentiality, and adherence to professional codes and Colorado state regulations
• Not currently running your own private practice, or ready to step away from it
• LGBTQ+ and relationship affirming, with a genuine commitment to anti-racism and cultural humility as an ongoing practice
• Openness to feedback and a desire to learn and grow in a supportive team culture
