Job description

Vilgain is scaling beyond borders.

We’re looking for a hands-on Expansion Manager to lead our international growth in the UK, DE, and US. You’ll steer the full expansion strategy, ensure compliance across borders, and lead a focused team managing our marketplace operations.

This role is about building our market presence. You’ll work at the intersection of strategy, operations, and leadership to ensure our global growth runs smoothly and swiftly.

You will lead a cross-functional team of five (3 FTEs for Marketplaces, 2 Expansion Specialists), including three marketplace specialists focused on Amazon (DE, UK) and Allegro, with dedicated PPC support. The team also includes roles in business development and operational support covering new market entry, event coordination, or customs consulting.

In This Role, You Will:
  • Lead the execution of our expansion strategy in the UK, DE, US, and other international markets
  • Manage and develop a 5-person team responsible for marketplace growth
  • Monitor and implement country-specific legal and compliance requirements
  • Set up and optimize customs and import processes
  • Explore and drive new growth channels — from local marketplaces to B2B partnerships
  • Lay the foundation for local entities: tax setup, employment, operations

  • Knowledge of tax, legal, and compliance frameworks across regions
  • Fluency in English; other languages are a plus
