JOB DESCRIPTION

Title: Marketing Success Manager (Part-Time)
Department Code & Name: 203 - Marketing - Club
FLSA Status: Nonexempt
Location: Remote (U.S.-based) with occasional travel for site visits and business-related events
Job Level & Type: Individual Contributor
Job Summary

The Marketing Success Manager (MSM) is a part-time marketing resource supporting an assigned portfolio of LOVB clubs within the Club Operations pod structure. Working approximately 10 hours per week, you will partner with Club Directors, Regional Club Leaders (RCLs), and Youth Marketing to identify where targeted marketing support can have the greatest impact.

Rather than serving as the marketing owner for each club, you will help clubs prioritize immediate marketing needs, connect them with existing LOVB resources, and provide hands-on support for select initiatives when additional assistance is needed. Support will flex across the portfolio based on seasonal priorities, club capabilities, and available capacity. You will also share recurring needs and insights with the central Youth Marketing team to help LOVB continuously improve marketing support across its club network.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Club Marketing Support
  • Support an assigned portfolio of LOVB clubs by providing targeted marketing guidance and hands-on assistance based on current club priorities and available weekly capacity.
  • Partner with Club Directors and RCLs to identify the highest-priority marketing needs, with support flexing across clubs based on seasonal and business needs.
  • Help clubs turn priority needs, such as tryouts, registration, camps, clinics, programs, and local events, into clear and achievable marketing actions.
  • Provide hands-on support for select priority initiatives, which may include refining communications, identifying appropriate marketing channels, coordinating basic campaign needs, or reviewing existing materials.
  • Connect clubs with existing LOVB marketing tools and resources, including templates, toolkits, Sprocket capabilities, landing pages, email resources, paid media programs, and central campaign assets.
  • Follow up on agreed-upon priority actions and elevate needs that require additional capacity, specialized expertise, or central Youth Marketing support.
Club Insights & Feedback
  • Share recurring club marketing needs, feedback, successful approaches, and opportunities with Youth Marketing and Club Operations to help improve support across the LOVB club network.
  • Participate in relevant pod or MSM team touch points and communicate capacity constraints, blockers, or emerging priorities as needed.
Required & Preferred Skills/Abilities
  • Strong general marketing knowledge with the ability to translate business priorities into practical marketing actions.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing needs and allocate limited time toward the highest-impact opportunities.
  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with Club Directors, RCLs, marketing contacts, and central teams.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with consistent follow-through.
  • Ability to assess when hands-on support is needed, when a club can be enabled to execute independently, and when a need should be escalated.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable providing practical marketing guidance and constructive feedback to stakeholders with varying levels of marketing experience.
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing, email marketing, local marketing, campaign planning, and marketing communications.
  • Ability to learn and guide others in the use of LOVB marketing platforms, tools, templates, and resources.
  • Experience supporting multiple locations, clients, clubs, franchises, or other distributed stakeholders is preferred.
  • Experience in youth sports, volleyball, grassroots marketing, or community-based organizations is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within limited weekly hours by prioritizing high-impact needs, setting clear expectations, and communicating when requests exceed available capacity.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Sports Management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Prior professional experience in marketing, local marketing, account management, client services, club marketing, or a related function required.
  • Experience independently managing multiple stakeholders, accounts, locations, or projects is strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting local organizations within a centralized or distributed marketing model is preferred.
  • Experience in youth sports, club sports, volleyball, or community-based marketing is a plus.
Personal Attributes
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
  • Solutions-oriented and able to identify when to elevate issues or challenges.
  • Strong collaborator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capable of working independently while effectively partnering with a distributed, remote team.
  • Positive, proactive, organized, and creative – brings fresh ideas to problem-solving.
  • Highly adaptable and eager to learn in a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Exercises sound judgment about where limited time and resources can have the greatest impact.
  • Builds trust through reliable follow-through, transparency, and practical support.
  • Approaches club partnerships with curiosity and openness, recognizing that each club's capabilities and needs are different.
  • Brings a community-first mindset and is motivated by helping clubs become more successful and self-sufficient.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements (Remote)
  • Ability to operate a computer and use a keyboard, mouse, and video conferencing tools.
  • Ability to clearly communicate via video, phone, and written channels.
  • Occasional travel may be required for site visits and events.
  • Ability to work approximately 10 hours per week, with scheduling coordinated around club and business priorities.
