Job summary

Union Home Mortgage’s L.E.A.D Internship Program aims to deliver a fun, real-world environment for interns to learn about the industry, be educated by Sr. Leadership and peers, achieve personal goals and develop skills.

Interns work 40 hours a week for a 3-month summer program and are compensated, based at the Strongsville, Ohio headquarters. Interns experience shadowing, mentoring, professional development, group projects and corporate outings.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Digital Marketing, Data Analytics or related field.
• Fresh marketing internship or project experience is a plus. No prior mortgage experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with brand and corporate marketing initiatives, contributing ideas and operational support.
• Support digital marketing across social media, email, website and paid media; help develop, execute and optimize campaigns.
• Analyze marketing performance and audience insights to identify trends and opportunities.
• Explore and apply AI tools and emerging marketing technologies to improve research, content development and analytics.
• Create marketing briefs, content and collateral with clear goals, audiences and messages.
• Present findings to the marketing team and leadership, communicating progress and recommendations.
• Collaborate with Partners across the organization, manage projects and follow established processes.

We pride ourselves in providing innovative programs for our interns in order for them to learn and grow as they progress through their careers. Some of the programs we offer include: shadowing, mentoring, professional development, group projects and we even take our interns on corporate outings! Our internship program gives students a chance to meet new people, gain more experience, and learn from the best in the business! Our interns are treated like full-time Partners who work 40 hours a week during the 3-month summer program, are compensated, and based out of headquarters in Strongsville, Ohio.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with assigned brand and corporate marketing initiatives, contributing creative ideas, strategic thinking and operational support.
• Support digital marketing initiatives across social media, email, website and paid media, helping develop, execute and optimize campaigns.
• Analyze marketing performance, audience insights and campaign data to identify trends, opportunities and recommendations.
• Explore and apply AI tools and emerging marketing technologies to improve research, content development, analytics and marketing efficiency.
• Create and contribute to marketing briefs, content and collateral by clearly identifying goals, audiences and key messages.
• Present findings and ideas to the marketing team and, where appropriate, senior leadership, effectively communicating project progress and recommendations.
• Collaborate with Partners across the organization, manage assigned projects and follow established marketing processes while identifying opportunities for improvement.

QualificationsSKILLS REQUIRED

• Digital Marketing & Analytics- Foundational understanding of digital marketing channels, paid social media and marketing analytics; ability to interpret performance metrics and identify insights.
• AI & Emerging Technology- Curiosity about AI and emerging technologies and an interest in finding practical ways to apply them to marketing.
• Marketing Skills & Tools- Experience or interest in content development, social media, email marketing, website platforms and other digital marketing tools.
• Project Management- Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize assignments, collaborate effectively and follow projects through to completion.
• Communication & Collaboration- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with team members and Partners across the organization.
• Initiative & Curiosity- Self‑motivated, eager to learn and willing to explore new ideas, platforms, technologies and approaches to marketing.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Currently enrolled as a college senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Digital Marketing, Data Analytics or a related field. Students graduating at the end of the internship term are strongly preferred.
• Prior marketing internship, digital marketing, paid social media or project experience is a plus, but not required. Experience with analytics platforms, AI tools or digital marketing projects is also a plus. No previous mortgage experience necessary.
