Start Date: Sep 14, 2026

We are seeking a Marketing Specialist to support a growing Beauty category within a fast-paced retail organization. This newly created role will serve as a key day-to-day partner across Beauty marketing, helping translate category strategy into compelling consumer-facing storytelling and successful cross-channel execution.

Working closely with Brand Marketing, Merchandising, Creative, and channel partners, you will help ensure Beauty initiatives are supported with the right messaging, imagery, timing, and prioritization across customer touchpoints.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with retail, category, product, or brand marketing experience who thrives in a highly collaborative environment and is comfortable managing multiple seasons and priorities simultaneously.

What You'll Do
Beauty Category Marketing & Growth
  • Support the development and execution of marketing strategies designed to drive growth within the Beauty category.
  • Help identify opportunities to strengthen category storytelling based on consumer trends, cultural moments, competitive activity, and business priorities.
  • Serve as a key liaison between Marketing, Merchandising, Creative, and channel teams.
  • Help translate category priorities into clear, compelling consumer-facing marketing.
  • Support high-priority Beauty launches, promotional moments, and seasonal initiatives.
Cross-Channel Marketing
  • Partner with dedicated channel teams across email, SMS/push, social, digital, paid media, and other consumer touchpoints to support campaign execution.
  • Provide strategic guidance around messaging, imagery, timing, and prioritization to ensure campaigns effectively represent the Beauty category.
  • Coordinate marketing and creative asset requests and help ensure teams have what they need to execute successfully.
  • Help maintain consistency in Beauty storytelling across channels.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize marketing already in market or introduce new approaches within individual channels.
Seasonal & Go-to-Market Execution
  • Support marketing priorities across a fast-moving retail calendar with approximately 13 floorsets annually.
  • Manage priorities across multiple seasons simultaneously, partnering with teams on current initiatives while also planning for upcoming seasons.
  • Support go-to-market planning from initial briefing through in-season execution.
  • Develop and maintain marketing briefs, presentations, seasonal materials, and other tools used to align cross-functional teams.
  • Help answer day-to-day prioritization questions and keep initiatives moving forward across multiple stakeholders.
In-Season Optimization
  • Monitor category and campaign performance to identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Support test-and-learn initiatives, emerging trends, product opportunities, and timely cultural moments.
  • Contribute to hindsight and performance analysis and help translate learnings into actionable recommendations.
  • Partner with channel teams to identify opportunities to adjust messaging, imagery, or storytelling based on business and consumer needs.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Approximately 2-3 years of relevant marketing experience.
  • Experience within retail, category marketing, product marketing, brand marketing, or integrated marketing strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting cross-channel or omnichannel marketing initiatives.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across Marketing, Merchandising, Creative, and channel teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, seasons, deadlines, and stakeholder priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to combine creative thinking with an execution-focused mindset.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities may evolve quickly.
  • Proficiency with presentation tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint and/or Keynote.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Beauty marketing experience is a strong plus.
  • Fashion, lifestyle, or other consumer retail experience.
  • Experience working within a seasonal retail calendar or across multiple product launches/floorsets.
  • Understanding of consumer trends, cultural moments, and competitive landscapes.
  • Experience using performance results or consumer insights to inform marketing recommendations.
  • Experience supporting promotional storytelling and product launches across multiple customer touchpoints.
Ideal Candidate

You are a proactive, highly organized, collaborative marketer who understands how to move between strategy and execution. You are comfortable being the central point of contact across multiple teams and can confidently provide a point of view on how a category should show up to consumers.

You can balance immediate in-season needs with future seasonal planning, manage competing priorities, and keep cross-functional partners aligned. Most importantly, you are curious about the consumer and passionate about creating relevant, compelling brand and product storytelling.

Location & Contract Details

  • Candidates may be based in New York, NY or Columbus, OH
  • Initial contract is expected to run through the end of the year
