Job summary

OCTA is seeking an entry-level Marketing Specialist Associate to support marketing and public outreach programs, aimed at increasing awareness and utilization of OCTA projects and services. The role covers campaigns, events, social channels, and communications targeting diverse audiences in Orange County.

The position is non-exempt with salary grade 170, offering a starting wage within the stated range and opportunities to engage with communities and partners across the region.

Qualifications

• Develop and distribute marketing materials and public outreach collateral
• Support community meetings, workshops, focus groups, and outreach events
• Coordinate event logistics, staffing, materials, and site requirements
• Monitor website and social media content for accuracy and relevance
• Gather and analyze customer and public feedback and prepare reports
• Write, proofread, and edit public information and marketing content
• Conduct outreach to businesses and community organizations and help develop partnerships
• Track communication metrics, maintain databases, and prepare reports and presentations
• Collaborate with internal teams, consultants, and community partners

Marketing Specialist Associate

Under direct supervision, supports marketing and public outreach programs designed to increase awareness and use of OCTA projects, programs, and services. This entry-level role assists with marketing campaigns, community engagement, events, social media, and communications targeting diverse audiences throughout Orange County.

This is a non-exempt position in salary grade 170: Min – $34.61 | Mid – $41.12| Max – $47.62/hour. The starting salary will be within this range based on qualifications.

What You’ll Do
