Job Title: Marketing Specialist (Part-Time)

Pay Range: $35.00–$45.00 per hour

Location: Remote (San Diego-based candidates preferred)

Reports to: Account Manager

Hours: Variable part-time schedule, typically between 5–20 hours per week depending on workload. Flexible hours, with some availability M–F between 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Must take a 30-minute lunch break.

FLSA: Non-exempt

Supervisory status: None

Travel: Less than 5%

Job Summary

• Plan, schedule, and post social media content
• Generate ideas for monthly content calendars; invite contacts to follow clients (as needed)
• Write and proof content for social media posts, blogs, news releases, award nominations
• Draft and distribute press releases and media advisories, handle follow-up
• Conduct market research
• Manage media and contact databases
• Set up and schedule email campaigns (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, HubSpot)
• Assist with event coordination and special projects as needed

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of professional marketing experience (agency or in-house)
• Strong writing, editing, and content creation skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, and email marketing platforms
• Knowledge of Hubspot
• Familiarity with social media management tools (Loomly, Hootsuite, etc.)
• Bonus points for experience with Google Analytics, Google Business, Google Search Console, ClickUp, WordPress
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple projects
• Someone who thrives working independently but enjoys being part of a small, collaborative team
