Job summary

Growing Green is seeking a Marketing Specialist to represent the brand and generate leads in both cold and existing markets. This one-person department works with the sales team, attends events, creates content, and drives the overall sales strategy with consistent brand messaging.

You will own social media, content creation from the field, and digital campaigns, while coordinating with CRM and external vendors to deliver measurable results.

Qualifications

  • Marketing knowledge with emphasis on social media and outbound outreach.
  • Experience owning a marketing calendar and tracking leads in a CRM.
  • Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Canva or Adobe, email platforms, Meta, LinkedIn, and Google Analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Own the social media calendar across LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.
  • Create content from the field: install photography, video, seasonal displays, and team stories.
  • Keep website service pages current and drive traffic to them with every post.
  • Log inquiries in CRM, acknowledge the sender, and route to Business Development the same day.
  • Maintain marketing lists of clients, prospects, architects, designers, and industry partners.
  • Produce the annual calendar, holiday client gifts, birthday eCards, and direct mail on schedule.
  • Build and maintain the shared sales tool library: lookbooks, one-pagers, brochures, and custom pieces.
  • Manage brand assets including headshots, email signatures, and protect the brand voice.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Marketing Specialist represents the Growing Green brand and generates leads, building credibility in both cold and existing markets. This role works as part of the sales team, attending events, creating content, and contributing to the overall sales strategy, with a constant focus on consistent brand messaging that keeps everything we say aligned and drives revenue.

This is a one-person marketing department with a lot of room to build. If you like owning the whole picture, from the social post to the trade show booth to the report that says what worked, this is a great fit.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Own the social media calendar across LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram, balancing educational content, brand storytelling, service features, and community work
  • Create content from the field: install photography, video, seasonal and holiday displays, and team stories
  • Keep website service pages current and drive traffic to them with every post
  • Capture every website inquiry, log it in BOSS, acknowledge the sender, and route it to Business Development the same day
  • Maintain marketing lists of clients, prospects, architects, designers, and industry partners, including the annual scrub before the calendar mails
  • Produce the annual calendar, holiday client gifts, birthday eCards, and direct mail on schedule
  • Build and maintain the shared sales tool library: lookbooks, one-pagers, brochures, and custom pieces on request
  • Manage brand assets including employee headshots, tech cards, email signatures, and business cards, and protect the brand voice
  • Plan and run showroom events, pop-up events, Lunch & Learns with architecture and design firms, and trade shows, including certificates
  • Manage uniform procurement, promotional items, print, and outside vendors
  • Deliver a monthly report on social and website performance and the leads each channel produced
  • Work with CRM and our cross-functional teams
  • Proactively learn plants, be innovative and creative with design
  • Bring solutions to challenges
  • After-hours events and networking
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Marketing knowledge and experience, specifically social media and outbound communication
  • Experience owning a marketing calendar and tracking leads in a CRM
  • Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills
  • Comfortable with design tools (Canva or Adobe), email marketing platforms, Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn, and Google Analytics
  • Need to have an eye for design
  • Motivated self-starter who brings a proposed solution along with the problem
  • Above average attention to detail and organization
  • Good judgment in allocating time and budget
  • Must be open to learning new things, including our industry software
  • Positive winning attitude
  • College degree preferred (but not required)
  • Photography, video, or event management experience preferred
