The CK Power Family of Companies is seeking a creative, organized and highly motivated Marketing Coordinator to help develop and execute marketing initiatives across our family of industrial brands.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong graphic design skills with the organization, curiosity and initiative. You'll design marketing materials, develop digital and print content, support campaigns and events, collaborate with teams throughout the business, and learn the products, customers and industries behind the brands you support.
We're looking for someone who is naturally inquisitive and isn't afraid to ask questions, seek out information or take ownership of a project. Our businesses operate in technical industries, so you won't be expected to know everything on day one. You will be expected to want to learn.
That means going directly to the people who know our products and customers best. When given an unfamiliar topic, we want someone who asks: What problem does this solve? What are our customers experiencing? How does this product work? What makes our capabilities different?
What does the customer actually need to know?Where does this overlap with our other brands, products or audiences, and where is it different?
AI and other emerging tools can be valuable parts of the marketing process, but they aren't a substitute for curiosity, research, critical thinking, or original thinking. You'll be expected to gather information from subject-matter experts, understand what you're communicating and apply your own creative and editorial judgment to the finished work.
The right person is detail-oriented, dependable and comfortable managing multiple priorities. They see a new assignment or unfamiliar challenge as something to figure out, not something to avoid, and take the initiative needed to bring projects to fruition.
What the Job Actually Looks Like
No two days in this role look exactly the same, and that's part of the job.
One day, you might be standing on a dredge in the middle of the Missouri River learning how our equipment powers the operation. Another, you could be attending a trade show to talk firsthand with customers or traveling to one of our branches to better understand the people, products and operations you're marketing.
You'll turn those experiences into creative work—establishing the look of a campaign, designing a brochure, photographing equipment or developing content that tells the story accurately. You'll also have days spent packing trade show materials, tackling an unexpected sales request or following up for the third time to get the information you need.
This role requires someone willing to get out from behind their computer, ask questions, set expectations and figure things out. If that mix of creative work, hands-on learning and variety sounds exciting, you'll probably enjoy working here.
What You'll Do
- Design and produce marketing materials for digital and print applications, including brochures, advertisements, email campaigns, social graphics, presentations, signage, sales collateral and promotional materials.
- Help plan and execute marketing campaigns across web, email, social media, print and other channels.
- Develop and manage content for company social media accounts, balancing strong visual design with clear, brand-appropriate messaging.
- Work directly with employees across departments and business units to gather information, understand marketing needs and move projects from concept through completion.
- Interview and collaborate with internal subject-matter experts to understand technical products, services, applications and customer needs, then translate that information into clear and effective marketing content.
- Learn the products, customers, markets and industries associated with the brands you support to create more informed and effective marketing.
- Develop original content from research, conversations, technical information and other source materials rather than relying on AI-generated content as the finished product.
- Review and edit content with a critical eye, recognizing generic, inaccurate or overly AI-driven messaging and reworking it to reflect the appropriate brand, audience and subject matter.
- Use AI and other emerging marketing tools thoughtfully to support research, ideation and productivity while independently verifying information and taking ownership of the accuracy and quality of the final work.
- Maintain brand standards while adapting creative work to the distinct identities and audiences of the brands you support.
- Support website updates and content creation, including product, service, industry and company information.
- Coordinate email marketing campaigns, including content development, design, list management and performance tracking.
- Work with OEM partners and other external organizations on co-op marketing programs, campaigns and brand requirements.

- Conduct research on customers, competitors, industries and market opportunities to support marketing initiatives.
- Track marketing performance and use available data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain organized project files, marketing assets, schedules and project timelines.
- Take ownership of assigned projects, proactively following up with internal and external stakeholders when information, feedback or approvals are needed.
- Support internal communications and other marketing initiatives as needed.

- Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt voice, perspective and messaging for different audiences and develop content from research, source information and conversations with subject-matter experts.
- Sound editorial judgment and the ability to identify generic, inaccurate or overly AI-driven content and turn it into natural, specific and brand-appropriate messaging.
- Ability to use AI and emerging technologies as tools without becoming dependent on them for creative thinking, research, writing or decision-making.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Naturally inquisitive and willing to ask questions, seek out information and learn unfamiliar products, industries and subject matter.
- Resourceful and comfortable receiving an assignment without having every answer upfront, with the initiative to research, ask questions and determine what needs to happen next.
<- Confident and professional when communicating with employees at all levels of the organization, including the ability to ask for information, follow up, establish expectations and respectfully push back when necessary.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments, locations and levels of the organization.
- Proactive and dependable with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through.
- Comfortable working in an environment where priorities and projects can change.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Adobe Acrobat.
- Familiarity with social media, email marketing and other digital marketing platforms.
Experience

- Experience with content management systems, email marketing platforms and ERP/CRM systems is preferred. WordPress, Constant Contact and Oracle experience is a plus.
- Experience in B2B, manufacturing, industrial, construction, equipment or other technical industries is beneficial but not required.
- We recognize that personality, curiosity, initiative and approach can make or break success in this role. We're willing to train the right candidate and encourage applicants with strong transferable skills to apply, even if they don't check every box above. We're especially interested in people who demonstrate an eagerness to learn, a willingness to take ownership and the confidence to tackle unfamiliar challenges.
