Job summary

Harvard Bioscience is seeking a Marketing Specialist to support a broad range of initiatives, including content creation, email campaigns, events, and digital marketing. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, or related field.
  • 0–3 years of marketing, communications, internship, or related experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences, channels, and formats.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and willing to take initiative rather than waiting for the next assignment.
  • Comfortable learning new platforms, processes, and technologies.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office or similar productivity tools.

Responsibilities

  • Content Creation: Develop engaging short- and long-form marketing content, including social media posts, emails, website copy, blog articles, promotional materials, and other marketing communications.
  • Email Marketing: Assist with the development, execution, and optimization of email marketing campaigns, including copywriting, audience segmentation, scheduling, testing, and performance tracking.
  • Event Coordination: Manage the planning and execution of trade shows and conferences, including logistics, promotional materials, communications, lead coordination, and post-event follow-up.
  • Website Management: Support website content maintenance, including product and campaign pages, resources, event information, and other routine website updates.
  • Digital Marketing: Support social media, digital campaigns, content distribution, and other digital marketing initiatives as needed.
  • Marketing Reporting: Track and report on basic marketing performance metrics across email, web, social media, campaigns, and events. Help identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Campaign Support: Coordinate assets, timelines, communications, and deliverables for integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Collaboration & Deadlines: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to keep projects moving forward and ensure deadlines are met.
  • File & Calendar Management: Maintain organized marketing files, calendars, project trackers, and other resources.
  • General Support: Assist with additional marketing projects and initiatives as business needs evolve.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As part of this global organization, the Vice of Manufacturing Operations is a key member of our senior leadership team. This transformational operations leader will have demonstrated success as a senior operating executive with a complex global business with $100-$300M of revenue in a competitive technology-based industry. Must have had success with driving bottom line cost management and integration of fragmented operations and systems. Must be execution focused, action oriented and possess a high sense of urgency. Will partner with other executive leaders in the organization and measure and track improvement in key operational processes with a focus on developing and executive action plans to address deficiencies.

We are seeking a motivated, highly organized Marketing Specialist to support a wide range of marketing initiatives, including content creation, email marketing, events, website management, digital marketing, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
