Job summary

Sweetwater Sound in Fort Wayne, IN seeks a Marketing Specialist to support the Marketing Team. You will develop social media content from concept to execution across primary and secondary channels, including graphics, short and long videos, and analytics.

Collaborate on product adjacencies with category specialists, craft briefs, and deliver marketing assets. Relocation to our Fort Wayne campus is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field OR high school with comparable experience
• Strong skills with Adobe Creative Suite and social video editing apps
• Experience with social platforms (TikTok, YouTube, X, Facebook/Instagram)
• 3–5+ years of marketing and social media experience
• Strong passion for music gear

Responsibilities

• Write creative briefs and collaborate with the team to produce graphic assets for Gear Exchange website and email campaigns
• Conduct updates on the Gear Exchange website such as scheduling sales, assets, and giveaways
• Manage the Gear Exchange Instagram profile and find listings to feature
• Create content for Sweetwater social media channels
• Brainstorm content ideas and research trends relevant to our audience
• Create a weekly social report and assist with other reporting needs for Marketing
• Complete special projects for product adjacencies including Band & Orchestra, Home Audio, and others as needed

Job Requirements

Sweetwater, the nation's number one online retailer of music instruments and pro audio gear, is seeking to add a Marketing Specialist to our growing Marketing Team! In this role, you will be responsible for working on a variety of platforms and product adjacencies. You will be expected to create from concept to execution a wide range of social media materials, for the primary Sweetwater channels along with secondary channels such as Gear Exchange. This would include graphics design, creation of short and longer form videos. Understanding of the established and emerging social media channels, including reporting and analytics is required.

In addition to social media responsibilities, you will be involved in a variety of special
projects. You will work directly with category specialists for product adjacencies including but not
limited to band and orchestra and Gear Exchange. Work will include brainstorming and creating
marketing assets, communication of marketing needs through creative briefs and outlines, and other
needs as they arise

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field OR High School degree with comparable experience
• Strong skills and understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects), and social video editing apps such as CapCut
• Prior experience and strong understanding of social platforms, including Tik Tok, YouTube, X, and the Meta plaforms (Facebook & Instagram)
• 3-5+ years of prior experience in Marketing and Social Media in a corporate or professional setting
• Strong understanding and passion for music gear
