Join Discover the World, an industry-leading sales representation company partnering with one of the world’s top travel brands, as our new Marketing Specialist. We are looking for an energetic, motivated and skilled marketing professional to support our US sales and marketing team with strategic planning and execution of marketing actions.

Why You’ll Love This Role. As the Marketing Specialist you’ll be instrumental in growing our client’s brand presence, engaging with our travel agent audience, and driving targeted traffic through strategic and creative marketing initiatives. We’re looking for a self-starter with a passion for travel and a strong grasp of marketing trends.

What You’ll Do:

• Support Marketing and Sales Team with various b2b marketing activities including email content creative and distribution, print and digital flyer content, digital promotion concepts, and social media.
• Manage a promotional email calendar bymaintaining an organized and strategic marketing calendar, ensuring timely and relevant delivery of campaigns.
• Approach travel agency customers through appropriate marketing channels and optimize the effectiveness of campaigns.
• Analyze, review, and report on the effectiveness of campaigns.
• Assist in development of marketing materials and campaigns.
• Develop, update and monitor marketing budgets.
• Create and conduct webinars for various travel products to travel agents.
• Coordinate production of needed items for trade shows and events to support sales managers (event registration, giveaways, collateral, follow up emails, etc.).
• Attend trade shows as needed.
• Create and update sales presentations using PowerPoint.
• Prioritize & manage multiple projects simultaneously through to completion.
• Perform other tasks and projects as may be assigned.
• Provide support to the Sales Director & Marketing Director as needed.

The Person We’re Looking For:

• Exceptionally good at prioritizing, time managing, and multi-tasking.
• Highly self-motivated and detail oriented.
• Able to excel under pressure and can handle last-minute changes in plans.
• Positive and upbeat in demeanor.
• Excellent communicator, with both internal stakeholders and external parties across many platforms (in person, via email, via telephone).
• Decidedly trustworthy and accountable.
• Professional marketing experience of at least 1-2 years.
• Successful in having achieved a post-secondary school diploma/degree (Marketing or Business concentrations an asset).
• Competent in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
• Processes basic knowledge of web and digital tools, including email distribution platform skills.
• Familiarity with the basic functionality of major social media apps (Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn).
• Processes exceptional attention to detail with very good organizational skills.
• Upbeat, can-do, positive and collaborative style that works well with others.
