Job summary

Fluor is seeking a capable proposal development professional to lead a center of excellence for coordinating, editing, writing, formatting, and desktop publishing of proposals and marketing collateral.

The role focuses on supporting Business Lines’ sales and marketing objectives, including producing compliant, readable qualifications and client presentations, while collaborating with Marketing Services and other teams to ensure timely deliverables.

  • Four (4) years of work-related experience or combination of education and related experience equal to eight (8) years if non-degreed.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, edit, write, format, and produce proposals, qualifications, client presentations, internal publications, and multimedia marketing collateral.
  • Determine scope of work, create production schedules, and manage resources to meet deadlines.
  • Lead kickoff meetings, proposal reviews, and planning sessions with the proposal team and business lines.

The purpose of this position is provide a center of excellence for proposal development and production with a focus of supporting the businesses in the winning of work by providing coordination, editing, writing, formatting, graphics, desktop publishing, presentations, production, and systems to support the Business Lines’ sales and marketing, functional, and corporate requirements. This role typically has Marketing Services mid-level management and coordination responsibilities and indirect reporting relationships with Marketing Services Specialists, Marketing Technicians and/or Web Designers/Artists. Plan, organize, coordinate, and control the development process of proposals, qualifications, client presentations, internal publications, and multimedia marketing collateral designed to help maintain a favorable company image and attain specific marketing objectives Determine the scope of work, develop compliance checklists, set a production schedule, manage level of services and resources, and track any special requirements necessary to get the job done (this may include coordinating ancillary projects that include multimedia and graphic projects) by the established deadline Work directly with the proposal manager and/or business line sales to produce proposals that fully reflect the client requirements and needs Participate in and/or lead the kickoff meeting, proposal reviews, and proposal-planning meetings During proposal development, organize the process for collecting author input and ensure that all standards are met, including format consistency within the proposal collateral Provide editorial, coordination, and management services, as required, to produce responsive, clear, consistent, and readable qualifications documents, proposals, presentations, and reports Other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements
  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and four (4) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to eight (8) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Preferred Qualifications
  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent or work experience in English, marketing, communications, or business preferred
  • Strong organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to lead are a must
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Able to organize, expedite, and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Keen sense of attention to detail
  • Able to handle stress, work with high energy, and work beyond normal work hours, as needed, with little to no advance notice
  • Able to accommodate a flexible schedule; willing and able to adapt to the demands of a high-paced corporate environment
  • Able to manage others and work with minimal supervision
  • Capable of applying marketing principles to Fluor’s business activities
