Job summary

Vertex Inc. is seeking an Associate Director to deliver commercial insights informing strategic decisions in hemoglobinopathies and related categories.

You will partner with marketing and global strategy to design an insights plan and oversee primary research or data analytics to answer key business questions. Based in Boston with a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days remote), you will guide cross-functional teams, maintain an Insights book, and contribute to Brand Planning and Long-Range

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing and executing primary market research.
• Strong quantitative analysis experience and ability to run analyses.
• Knowledge of real-world data sources in healthcare.
• Experience in rare diseases and cell/gene therapies.
• US launch and inline brand experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to synthesize complex information.
• Able to work with ambiguity and structure problems.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to provide objective insights.
• Develop a comprehensive insights generation plan for business questions.
• Design and conduct primary market research addressing key questions.
• Define analytics needed and oversee execution.
• Support analytics coordination forum for cross-functional alignment.
• Maintain an Insights book with disease-area insights.
• Develop situation analyses for Brand Planning.
• Monitor LRP forecast model assumptions to inform Long-Range Plan.
