Marketing Quality Assurance & Release Specialist

Reynolds American is evolving into a global multi-category business. Our purpose is to create A Better Tomorrow™ by Building a Smokeless World.

To achieve our ambition, we are looking for colleagues who are ready to join us on this journey. Tomorrow can’t wait, let’s shape it together!

REYNOLDS AMERICAN has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Quality Assurance & Release Specialist in Winston-Salem, NC

As a Marketing Quality Assurance & Release Specialist, you will support the Campaign Operations and Consumer Experience ecosystem by ensuring that consumer-facing campaigns, offers, digital assets, customer journeys, and experiences function correctly across web, mobile, email, and other channels prior to launch. You will also ensure they are executed accurately and in compliance with quality, regulatory, privacy, legal, and brand standards within a highly regulated CPG environment.

As a key member of the Campaign Operations and Consumer Experience team, you will partner closely with marketers, product managers, designers, analytics teams, developers, Compliance, Legal, Brand, Trade Marketing, and external partners to translate campaign requirements into technical execution. You will define QA standards, manage release readiness, support defect triage, validate execution quality, and ensure issues are properly documented, escalated, resolved, and prevented from recurring.

This is a highly operational, detail-oriented, and governance-driven role for a disciplined professional who can bring structure to complex release environments, strengthen quality controls, reduce deployment risk, and help teams deliver compliant, accurate, and consumer-ready experiences with confidence.

Your key responsibilities will include
  • Quality Assurance Governance & Standards: Establish, maintain, and enforce QA standards, controls, testing protocols, readiness criteria, checklists, and governance frameworks for consumer-facing campaigns, digital experiences, and release activities within a highly regulated environment.

  • Release Readiness & Deployment Management: Lead release readiness activities by coordinating approvals, testing results, documentation, risk assessments, dependencies, and go/no-go decisions to ensure successful and compliant deployments.

  • Campaign & Experience Validation: Conduct comprehensive pre-launch validation of campaigns, offers, customer journeys, and digital experiences across web, mobile, email, and other channels, ensuring accuracy, functionality, personalization, and adherence to business requirements.

  • Defect Management & Root Cause Analysis: Oversee defect intake, prioritization, investigation, escalation, resolution tracking, and root cause analysis to minimize production issues and prevent recurrence.

  • Compliance, Risk & Regulatory Oversight: Partner with Compliance, Legal, Brand, Privacy, and business stakeholders to ensure campaigns and releases meet applicable policies, regulatory requirements, consent standards, data governance controls, and brand guidelines.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Analytics, Technology, Creative, Operations, and external partners to translate business requirements into executable QA and release plans while ensuring alignment across teams.

  • Release Governance, Documentation & Audit Readiness: Maintain release documentation, QA results, approvals, issue logs, corrective actions, and governance records to support operational excellence, audit readiness, and organizational compliance.

  • Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence: Analyze quality outcomes, campaign performance, recurring issues, process gaps, and operational risks to implement improvements that enhance release quality, reduce rework, strengthen controls, and improve the overall consumer experience.

What are we looking for?
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Release Management, Campaign Operations, Digital Production, CRM, or Consumer Engagement environments.

  • Strong understanding of quality controls, governance frameworks, testing methodologies, risk assessment, and execution validation within regulated environments.

  • Proven ability to identify, assess, and mitigate execution risks, compliance issues, defects, and consumer experience gaps before launch.

  • Experience coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, including Marketing, Compliance, Legal, Brand, Analytics, Technology, Agencies, and Campaign Operations teams.

  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills, with experience managing defect triage, issue escalation, and corrective action planning.

  • Ability to evaluate release readiness and make informed go/no-go recommendations based on testing results, operational risks, approvals, and business impact.
