GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Marketing Project Manager develops, manages, and implements marketing strategies and tactics in support of departmental and organizational objectives, ensuring compliance with all applicable state and federal regulatory requirements, SCFHP policies and procedures, and business requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty listed below.
- Manage programs, projects, and events from inception to implementation in support of marketing objectives and regulatory requirements, working with both internal and external stakeholders as required.
- Develop new materials (hard copy or electronic) and update existing materials as needed to support programs, projects, and events.
- Develop the organization’s brand and maintain its integrity in all materials.
- Develop and maintain effective systems to track all marketing pieces, associated costs, and related expenses; analyze data to determine effectiveness and prepare marketing reports for management review.
- Develop marketing goals and objectives; prepare and maintain required Marketing plans, milestone charts, and related schedules.
- Develop audience-appropriate messaging and evaluate its effectiveness.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage vendors to achieve marketing objectives.
- Develop, maintain, and use policies and procedures, operating instructions, and tools needed to support marketing activities.
- Analyze and track compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements; monitor new requirements and update documents accordingly.
- Participate actively in department meetings, trainings, and coaching sessions.
- Identify issues, trends, and opportunities for efficiency or quality improvements; develop and implement recommendations.
- Attend offsite meetings or events as necessary.
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

The following requirements represent the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities needed or preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience. (R)
- Minimum three years of experience in developing and implementing marketing initiatives. (R)
- Minimum one year of experience in project management. (R)
- Ability to establish and maintain effective internal and external relationships to lead cross-functional teams. (R)
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Creative Suite; experience with complex document management; web research skills. (R)
- Knowledge of Content Management Systems/HTML for website editing and maintenance. (R)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for professional, effective, and persuasive communication. (R)
- Ability to interpret and communicate complex processes and concepts to diverse audiences. (R)
- Creative and strategic thinking abilities. (R)
- Data gathering, analysis, report writing, and organizational skills. (R)

- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. (D)
WORKING CONDITIONS
Primarily office environment, involving sitting or standing at a desk. Regular contact with colleagues, managers, external partners, and vendors via various communication methods.
