Job summary

Concord Church is seeking a Project Manager, Marketing to lead operational efforts within the Marketing & Communications Department in Dallas. Responsibilities

The Project Manager, Marketing serves as the operational leader of the Marketing & Communications Department, ensuring the efficient planning, execution, measurement, and continuous improvement of marketing initiatives that support the church's mission, vision, and strategic priorities.

This role is responsible for building and managing the systems, workflows, processes, budgets, project plans, reporting structures, and resource allocation that enable the marketing team to operate with excellence. The Project Manage, Marketing bridges strategy and execution by ensuring ministry partners, creative teams, production teams, vendors, and leadership remain aligned and informed throughout the lifecycle of all marketing projects.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This role is an individual contributor and may supervise contractors, interns, and volunteers.

Marketing Operations
  • Provide operational leadership for all Marketing & Communications initiatives.
  • Manage department workflows, production schedules, project prioritization, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and maintain departmental standards, operating procedures, and project management frameworks.
  • Establish scalable systems that improve productivity, accountability, communication, and team effectiveness.
  • Ensure all marketing projects align with strategic priorities, ministry goals, timelines, and budgets.
Project & Campaign Management
  • Oversee the intake, planning, execution, and delivery of all marketing requests.
  • Manage project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and dependencies across multiple ministries.
  • Facilitate project kickoff meetings and stakeholder alignment sessions.
  • Monitor project health and proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and resource constraints.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and at agreed-upon quality standards.
  • Lead quarterly and annual marketing planning processes.
  • Develop and maintain the church-wide marketing calendar.
  • Coordinate campaign launches, event promotion schedules, ministry communications, and creative production timelines.
  • Partner with ministry leaders to prioritize requests and align resources appropriately.
Workflow & Process Optimization
  • Design, document, and continuously improve marketing workflows and standard operating procedures.
  • Implement project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Maintain digital asset management systems and marketing documentation.
  • Standardize request intake, review, approval, and reporting processes.
Data, Reporting & Analytics
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools to measure marketing effectiveness.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) including:
  • Event registrations
  • Website traffic
  • Conversion rates
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly leadership reports.
  • Provide data-informed recommendations to improve performance and engagement.
  • Assist in the creation and management of the annual marketing budget.
  • Monitor department expenditures and campaign spending.
  • Manage contracts, purchase requests, invoices, and vendor relationships.
  • Evaluate agency, contractor, and technology partner performance.
  • Ensure financial stewardship and cost efficiency.
  • Serve as primary administrator for marketing technology platforms.
  • Manage project management software, collaboration platforms, CRM integrations, marketing automation tools, and reporting systems.
  • Evaluate and recommend technologies that improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure marketing data integrity and reporting accuracy.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with ministry leaders to understand communication and engagement objectives.
  • Collaborate with Worship, Production, Digital, Communications, Events, and Operations teams.
  • Facilitate communication among stakeholders regarding project status and priorities.
  • Build strong working relationships throughout the organization.
  • Supervise project coordinators, marketing specialists, and administrative support personnel as assigned.
  • Establish team goals and performance expectations.
  • Provide coaching, development, mentoring, and ongoing feedback.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Experience
  • 5+ years of marketing, communications, project management, or operations experience.
  • 3+ years managing complex projects, campaigns, or cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience leading operational improvements and organizational processes.
  • Experience in a church, nonprofit, agency, or mission-driven organization preferred.

Physical Requirements
  • An employee in this position primarily works in a typical office or sanctuary environment, is generally sedentary, and uses computers, calculators, phones, and other office equipment to draft documents, communicate with church staff, and fulfill other position duties.
  • An employee in this position is required to walk, hear, speak, and stand to conduct sermons and minister to the members (both at the main church and at remote locations). Work is conducted in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • The ability to manage stress, build professional and collaborative relationships, and reason through both complex church business situations and profound personal crises that members may experience is required.
  • A flexible schedule is required since this position requires evening and weekend work due to scheduled events.
Travel Requirements

A valid Texas driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record is required.
