Job summary

Sundance Mountain Resort is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to support the Marketing Department in day-to-day project coordination, organization, and execution. You will help increase productivity by managing assignments, schedules, deadlines, files, and communications across multiple projects.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and an effective note-taker with an eye for design and brand consistency.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • One to three years of experience in marketing, project coordination, hospitality, communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong project-coordination, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, proofreading, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience with project-management platforms; proficiency with Asana is strongly preferred.
  • Active knowledge of social media platforms and experience with community management.
  • Basic knowledge of digital marketing principles and email marketing.
  • Familiarity with content management systems; experience with ProcessWire is preferred.
  • Experience using Canva; familiarity with Adobe Illustrator or other Adobe Creative Cloud applications is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Strong eye for design, presentation, accuracy, and brand consistency.
  • Collaborative, flexible, and willing to assist team members in a variety of capacities.
  • Comfortable interacting with guests, VIPs, influencers, resort leaders, employees, and vendors.
  • Ability to ski or snowboard at an intermediate level to support on-mountain marketing activities and content needs.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the Marketing Department's day-to-day projects, assignments, schedules, and timelines.
  • Use Asana to assign tasks, track deadlines, communicate project status, organize files, and help keep work moving forward.
  • Proactively follow up on assignments, identify potential delays or missing information, and help ensure projects are completed accurately and on time.
  • Serve as a liaison between Marketing and other resort departments, helping prioritize requests, clarify needs, communicate updates, and facilitate timely completion.
  • Take detailed notes during meetings and clearly document decisions, assignments, deadlines, and follow-up items.
  • Update and maintain website content on a regular cadence, ensuring information is accurate, timely, and consistent with the Sundance brand.
  • Proofread and review marketing materials before publication or distribution, checking for accuracy, grammar, formatting, brand consistency, and current information.
  • Test website links, pricing, dates, promotional codes, calls to action, and booking paths before campaigns and promotions go live.
  • Assist with building, proofreading, scheduling, and distributing marketing emails under the direction of the Marketing team.
  • Support social media efforts, including content calendaring, scheduling, posting, monitoring, and community engagement.
  • Monitor and respond to social media direct messages, comments, and general email inquiries throughout the day.
  • Organize and maintain digital assets, including photography, video, graphic-design files, and other marketing materials.
  • Assist with basic photography, graphic design, and content creation as needed.
  • Coordinate the production, placement, updating, and removal of posters and other printed collateral throughout the resort.
  • Review printed and digital materials to help ensure consistency with Sundance brand standards.
  • Coordinate the logistics of VIP and influencer visits, including itineraries, schedules, reservations, internal communications, and other visit details.
  • Work with internal departments to support the lead-up, booking, and execution of VIP and influencer stays.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling VIP information, itineraries, internal communications, and other sensitive business information.
  • Order and pick up printed materials, collateral, and supplies from outside vendors.
  • Track project completion, website updates, social media engagement, and basic campaign results.
  • Assist with time-sensitive projects and requests.
  • Provide occasional support for public relations and media-related needs as requested.
  • Build relationships throughout the resort and help identify meaningful people, experiences, and stories that may be shared through Sundance marketing channels.
  • Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting established deadlines.
  • Support other members of the Marketing team across a variety of roles and responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate an appreciation for conservation, environmental stewardship, and the preservation of Sundance's natural setting.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
