Southwest Georgia Regional Library System in Bainbridge, GA seeks a Marketing & Programming Librarian to develop public relations outreach, manage website and oversee library programs across three counties.
Requires MLS from an ALA-accredited program, strong communication, online research skills, youth services experience, and a valid driver’s license; nights and weekends may be required.

Salary Range: $52,400 – $84,254
Library Certification Required: Ability to obtain a Grade 5B certification or higher from Georgia State Board of Certification of Librarians, http://sos.georgia.gov/plb/librarians/
Qualifications: Masters in Library Science from ALA-Accredited program; working knowledge of website management, computer programs, background of civic involvement, online search skills, youth and children’s work, and valid driver’s license.
Primary Job Responsibilities: Plans, implements and coordinates services/programs in the three counties of the Southwest Georgia Regional Library System. Plans and coordinates comprehensive public relations outreach program, oversees website management, and assists with collection development and statistics for library system. Plans and manages public service in Decatur County. Work requires considerable skill, initiative, independent judgment, professional ethics and follow through. Ability to exercise mature judgment and maintain confidentiality of administrative matters. Nights and weekend work is required.
