The Screven-Jenkins Regional Library System seeks a licensed librarian or candidate able to obtain Georgia grade 5+ certification to lead reference and collection services across two locations. Strong emphasis on readers advisory, IT, program development, and public outreach.
Requirements include a Master’s in Library/Information Science from an ALA-accredited program plus 3 years in a public library; supervisory experience preferred.
This position is primarily responsible for Reference and Reader’s Advisory, Information Technology, Book Selection, Collection Development and Management, ILLs, Grants, PR, organizing and publicizing displays, exhibits and programs in two locations.
A Master’s degree in Library and/or Information Science from an accredited ALA college or university with 3 years experience working in a public library is required. Supervisory experience is preferred. Must be licensed as a librarian in Georgia or be able to obtain grade 5 or higher certification by the Georgia State Board of Certification of Librarians.
Based on experience, starting $52,000.00. This position is Open until filled. The desired start date is as soon as possible.
The Screven-Jenkins Regional Library System serves a population of 24,000 with state of the art technology at two county libraries.
