Job summary

Perplexity is growing its Communications and Marketing team, and we’re hiring a Business Operations Manager to run the operating system underneath. This role keeps tool stacks, agencies, budgets, contracts, and leadership dashboards in sync so the team can move fast without drops.

You’ll own internal tools, calendars, dashboards, and automations, and manage the operating rhythm across campaigns and launches. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years in marketing operations or similar roles.
• Built tools, automations, or dashboards.
• Strong analytical mindset with data-driven insights.
• Experience managing agencies, contractors, or vendors and working with Legal/Finance on contracts.
• Organized and relational, capable of cross-functional collaboration.
• Clear communicator able to brief executives and document processes.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and scaling systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the marketing and comms tool stack: evaluate, procure, onboard, train, and retire tools.
• Build and maintain internal tools like calendars, dashboards, trackers, and automations.
• Run the team's operating rhythm: priorities, calendars, cycles, and cross-functional handoffs.
• Manage agencies, contractors, and vendors from onboarding to invoices and renewals.
• Coordinate with Legal and Finance to keep contracts and procurement moving.
• Be the connective tissue: track work, dependencies, and align teams without extra meetings.
• Partner with leadership to identify problems, propose solutions, and drive outcomes.
• Add rigor to processes without creating overhead.
