Job Summary:

Microsoft is seeking a creative and driven marketing professional to join their team as a Marketing Manager on a contract basis. This role focuses on shaping and communicating the Microsoft for Startups messaging, positioning, and brand strategy, while collaborating with various teams to ensure consistent marketing assets.

Responsibilities:

• Support the development and refinement of messaging frameworks that articulate the value of Microsoft for Startups to founders, investors, and ecosystem partners.

• Support storytelling initiatives that elevate the brand narrative across digital, social, and partner channels.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent voice and tone across all marketing assets.

• Own and drive messaging projects from concept to execution, including briefs, decks, and marketing content.

• Support the creation of founder-facing messaging that resonates with startup audiences and aligns with our strategic goals.

• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to gather insights and feedback that inform messaging strategy.

Qualifications:

Required:

• 5-7 overall years of experience in the field.

• 5+ years of direct experience in brand strategy, messaging development, and storytelling—preferably in tech or startup ecosystems.

• Exceptional writing, storytelling, and communication skills with a knack for simplifying complex ideas.

• Ability to distill complex technical or business concepts into clear, persuasive messaging.

• Proven ability to craft compelling narratives, including customer success stories, from initial research through to polished content.

• Experience in creating marketing collateral such as one-pagers, case studies, and talk tracks for both internal and external audiences.

• Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

• Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and leadership potential.

• Comfortable taking initiative and driving projects forward with minimal oversight.

• Passionate about startups, innovation, and the impact of technology.
