Job summary

The Hunter Museum of American Art in Chattanooga seeks a Marketing Manager to partner with the Director of Institutional Advancement to develop and execute annual communications and marketing plans, including social media campaigns, to increase attendance and participation.

You'll manage media relations, advertising, collateral, web content, and campaigns across exhibitions and programs, ensuring brand consistency and strong community presence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications or writing.
• 5 years of public relations and marketing experience.
• Strong communication, media relations and social media skills.

Responsibilities

• Craft annual publicity, advertising, PR and marketing plans and budgets.
• Establish media contacts and coordinate press events nationwide.
• Develop publicity opportunities and story ideas for the Hunter and promotions.
• Oversee the museum website content, e-newsletters and social platforms.
• Oversee collateral design and production (brochures, newsletters, annual report).
• Lead marketing and advertising for exhibitions, store, and programs.
• Manage paid/public service advertising and vendor relationships.
• Coordinate media tours with partners and writers/creators.
• Conduct market research and guest experience surveys.
• Ensure brand consistency across graphics, ads, social, and web.
• Supervise Design & Web Specialist, Social Media Coordinator and interns.
