Job description

Are you a data-driven marketer who knows how to turn fragmented campaigns into a measurable, accountable marketing engine?

Do you excel at managing outside vendors, tracking performance, and knowing when to double down, or pull back, based on the numbers?

Are you already using AI to create smarter content, analyze competitors, improve reporting, and streamline marketing workflows?

Are you ready to take ownership of marketing execution for a boutique trial firm focused on signing the right high-value cases, not simply generating more leads?

When faced with a challenge, do you get excited or run away?

Stephens Law is a boutique plaintiff's trial firm in Fort Worth, Texas, focused exclusively on catastrophic trucking accidents, wrongful death, and serious injury cases. Founder Jason Stephens has recovered more than $300 million for clients over nearly three decades, including two of the largest truck accident settlements in Texas history. The firm deliberately limits its caseload so that every case receives the attention and preparation necessary for trial, an approach reflected in its No Mill Guarantee.

Stephens Law's marketing currently spans outside vendors supporting SEO, pay-per-click, social media, legal directories, and select print publications, along with intake tracking through the firm's CRM and lead management platform. While these individual pieces are working, the firm needs one person who can bring them together, create accountability, and provide a clear picture of marketing performance.

The Marketing Manager will take ownership of marketing execution and performance while working closely with the Founder, who sets the firm's overall marketing strategy and tone. This is not a traditional people-management position; instead, you will manage vendors, systems, reporting, referral initiatives, and outcomes. Success means knowing exactly where cases are coming from, what the firm is spending to acquire them, which channels are producing the right cases, and where resources should be reallocated.

What you’ll do:
  • Vendor Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for the firm's digital and print marketing vendors, holding outside partners accountable to deliverables, deadlines, performance, and results.
  • Marketing Performance & Reporting: Master the firm's CRM and own weekly and monthly marketing scorecards, tracking inquiries, signed cases, cases the firm wanted but did not sign, referrals, marketing sources, and cost per signed case by channel.
  • Marketing ROI Optimization: Analyze performance data to identify where marketing dollars are generating results, flag underperforming channels, and recommend where spending should be reduced, reallocated, or increased.
  • Attorney Referral Pipeline: Build and manage systems that keep Stephens Law top of mind with referring attorneys across Texas and support measurable growth in lawyer referral sources.
  • Founder Brand Platform: Support the development of Jason Stephens's personal brand through content, speaking opportunities, media, thought leadership, and management of select personal social media initiatives.
  • Community & Foundation Visibility: Increase visibility for the firm's community involvement and the work of the Stephens Family Foundation.
  • AI Adoption: Use AI regularly for content creation, competitor analysis, reporting, and workflow optimization while continuously identifying new ways AI can strengthen the firm's marketing operations.
  • Marketing Execution: Translate the Founder's strategy and direction into consistent execution, taking ownership of implementation while using performance data to demonstrate what is, and is not, working.
What we’re looking for:
  • Marketing Experience: 5–10+ years of marketing experience, including meaningful experience managing outside vendors or agencies and holding partners accountable for performance.
  • Data & Reporting Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to work confidently in CRM or lead-tracking platforms and build clear, reliable reports that leadership can use to make decisions.
  • CRM Proficiency: Ability to quickly master the firm's Lead Docket CRM and use it to track marketing sources, intake performance, signed cases, referrals, and marketing ROI. Prior Lead Docket experience is a plus.
  • AI Fluency: Demonstrated experience actively using AI in day-to-day marketing work, with the ability to provide concrete examples of how you have used it to improve content, analysis, reporting, or workflows.
  • Vendor Management: Proven ability to coordinate multiple marketing partners, evaluate their performance, and ensure deadlines, deliverables, and results are consistently met.
  • Legal Marketing Experience: Legal or personal injury marketing experience is a strong plus, but not required. The firm is ultimately looking for an exceptional marketer who can learn the business and deliver results.
  • Ownership & Execution: Organized, direct, and low-ego, with the ability to take strategic direction from leadership and independently own execution, follow-through, and results.
  • Collaborative Approach: Comfortable working closely with the Founder, Office Manager, intake team, and external marketing partners, including partnering with the Office Manager on budgets and the intake team on performance data.
Why you should work here:
  • High-Impact Ownership: Take ownership of a marketing operation where your work directly influences how the firm allocates resources, attracts cases, and measures success.
  • Quality Over Volume: Work in an environment where marketing success is measured by signed catastrophic cases and cost per signed case, not simply clicks, impressions, or lead volume.
  • Direct Leadership Access: Work closely with the founder to translate his strategic direction into measurable marketing execution and provide the data needed to guide future decisions.
  • AI-Forward Environment: Join a firm that expects AI to be embedded in everyday marketing operations and encourages continued experimentation with emerging technology.
  • Visible Results: Build reporting systems, vendor accountability, referral initiatives, and marketing processes that allow you to clearly demonstrate the impact of your work.
  • Bonus Opportunity: Discretionary bonus based on individual and firm performance.
  • Health Insurance: 100% health insurance coverage for the employee.
  • Retirement Plan: 401(k) benefits to support long-term financial planning.
  • Paid Time Off: PTO is included as part of the firm's benefits package.
  • Work Arrangement: Full-time schedule of 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, primarily in the firm's Fort Worth office. A hybrid arrangement may be considered for the right candidate and circumstances.

Join Stephens Law and take ownership of a marketing function where performance is measured by what truly matters: attracting and signing the right cases. This is an opportunity to bring fragmented marketing efforts together, create accountability across vendors and channels, build reporting leadership that can trust, expand attorney referral relationships, and embed AI into everyday marketing operations. If you are a data-driven, execution-focused marketer who thrives on ownership and knows how to turn strategy into measurable results, we invite you to apply and help strengthen the marketing engine behind Stephens Law.
