Job summary

Coverflow, a California-based insurance tech company, is hiring a Marketing Lead to own product marketing and growth/demand generation. This hands-on IC role drives messaging, positioning, and channel strategy to generate pipeline for insurance brokerages.

You’ll own content, brand consistency, and sales enablement, working directly with the CEO and COO to align with GTM goals. This isn’t a management track; success is measured by MQLs, pipeline influence, and event-driven meetings booked.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of B2B marketing with proven product marketing or growth/demand generation experience.
  • Track record owning pipeline outcomes (MQLs, events, campaigns).
  • Experience planning and executing conference or event strategy, budgets, logistics, and follow-up.
  • Strong writing and communication skills for translating complex value to non-technical buyers.
  • Comfortable in an early-stage environment and prefer IC roles over people management.

Responsibilities

  • Own product marketing: messaging and positioning for insurance agency leaders.
  • Own growth/demand generation: plan and run channels driving qualified pipeline, incl. conferences and events.
  • Build and maintain sales enablement: case studies, one-pagers, proof points, collateral.
  • Drive and report on MQLs and pipeline-influencing metrics; tie output to business results.
  • Maintain baseline content and brand consistency across website, social, and PR as needed.
  • Collaborate with CEO and COO to align marketing priorities with GTM goals.

Job description

The insurance brokerage industry brings in over $400 billion in revenue annually, yet over $130 billion of that is wasted on repetitive, manual processes: reading millions of pages, inputting data into legacy systems, and filing paperwork.

Who We Are

Coverflow helps insurance brokers automate their most challenging workflows. Our AI platform integrates with client data systems to analyze millions of data points, enabling brokerages to work more efficiently and deliver deeper insights, giving them back thousands of hours annually.

Trusted by leading regional and national agencies, we ingest thousands of policies weekly and have processed over $5B in premium flow through our platform. Backed by AIX Ventures, Founder Collective, and Afore Capital, we've achieved >15x revenue growth since launching in 2025.

The Role

We're hiring a Marketing Lead to own product marketing and growth/demand generation for Coverflow. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role: you will not manage a team on day one, and you should want to be doing the work yourself, not directing others to do it. If you're looking for a people-management title, this isn't that role, at least not yet.

Your core mandate splits into two majors:

  • Product marketing: translating what Coverflow does into messaging and positioning that lands with insurance agency leaders, a technical, relationship-driven buyer who doesn't respond to typical SaaS language. You'll own how we talk about the product across every surface, from sales collateral to conference messaging.
  • Growth / demand generation: driving pipeline through conferences, content, and enablement. You're accountable for building and running the channels that generate qualified interest, then arming sales with the materials to convert it.

Brand, PR, and broader content are real parts of the job, but they support the two majors above rather than standing alongside them as equal priorities. You'll build what's needed in those areas, but your time and judgment should be weighted toward product marketing and growth first.

This isn't a brand-for-brand's-sake role. You won't carry a sales quota, but you will be accountable to tangible output: MQLs, pipeline influence, and event-driven meetings booked, not just content shipped or campaigns launched.

What will you be doing?
  • Own product marketing: positioning, messaging, and translating Coverflow's value into materials that resonate with a non-technical, relationship-driven insurance buyer.
  • Own growth and demand generation: plan and run the channels that drive qualified pipeline, with conferences and events as a primary channel, from strategy through on-the-ground execution.
  • Build and maintain sales enablement: case studies, one-pagers, proof points, and collateral that help the sales team convert what your channels generate.
  • Drive and report on MQLs and pipeline-influencing metrics, treating your output as accountable to real business results, not just activity.
  • Maintain baseline content and brand consistency (website, social, PR touchpoints) as needed to support the above, without letting it become the primary focus.
  • Work directly with the CEO and COO to keep marketing priorities aligned with company-wide GTM goals.
Key Requirements
  • 3-5 years of B2B marketing experience, with demonstrated depth in product marketing and/or growth/demand generation specifically, not just general marketing exposure.
  • A track record of owning pipeline-relevant outcomes (MQLs, event-driven meetings, campaign-sourced opportunities), and being able to speak to the numbers behind that track record.
  • Experience planning and executing conference or event strategy, from budget and logistics through follow-up.
  • Strong writer and communicator who can translate complex, technical value into clear, credible messaging for a non-technical buyer.
  • Comfortable operating in an early-stage environment (seed to Series A) where you're building process, not just executing against one already in place.
  • Genuinely wants an IC role: you should be motivated by doing the work directly, not by building and managing a team.
Compensation
  • Base: $100,000 - 140,000
  • Generous equity package
  • Team lunches & snacks, transportation stipend, team off‑sites, etc.
  • In‑person in San Francisco
