Head of Marketing

About Vori: Vori is on a mission to revolutionize the future of the $1T grocery industry. A rapidly growing vertical SaaS/Fintech startup for neighborhood supermarkets, Vori is looking to hire an exceptional Founding Operations Lead to help support our customers as we scale. Vori is an operating system that empowers small grocery businesses, and integrates a cutting-edge POS and inventory management system to help these local businesses thrive against large chains like Walmart and Kroger. Also we'll help reduce food waste and food insecurity along the way.

Position Overview: We are seeking an exceptional Demand Generation & Growth leader to drive Vori's revenue by 10x over the next year. This role will be pivotal in scaling our customer acquisition engine. The ideal candidate will be a world-class expert in B2B SaaS growth marketing, with a proven track record of driving qualified leads and converting them into revenue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive demand generation strategy to achieve aggressive growth targets: booked demos and revenue
  • Build the marketing team, manage the team as it scales, and hire contractors and agencies as needed to hit goals. At first, you’ll be a growth marketing team of one, but you’ll be able to hire once we hit growth milestones and define the next roles.
  • Own the full-funnel metrics, from top-of-funnel lead generation to sales-qualified opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with sales, product, and customer success teams to align growth initiatives with overall business objectives
  • Implement data-driven, multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels
  • Optimize the marketing tech stack and lead qualification framework to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Develop and manage relationships with key industry partners and influencers
  • Create compelling content and messaging that resonates with our target audience of independent grocers

Qualifications

  • Experience marketing to SMB or enterprise customers in industries that are not hyper-online (e.g., retail, logistics)
  • Can masterfully use AI to help craft the GTM motion of the future
  • 10+ years of experience in B2B SaaS marketing, with a strong focus on demand generation and growth
  • Proven track record of scaling revenue 10x or more in a startup environment
  • Deep expertise in digital marketing, ABM, content marketing, and marketing analytics
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to inform strategy and demonstrate ROI
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and distill complexity into poetry
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
