Job summary

Holmes Murphy, based in West Des Moines, IA, is offering a Marketing Intern for Summer 2027 to join the Corporate Marketing team. This 10-week onsite internship provides hands-on exposure to event planning, branding and content creation, with opportunities to learn from industry professionals.

Ideal candidates are enrolled at a 4-year institution, pursuing marketing-related majors, and may have prior customer service experience.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled or pursuing enrollment at a 4-year institution.
• Majors historically pursued by interns include Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, and related fields.
• Prior work experience is a plus, preferably in a customer service setting.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and execution of corporate events with the marketing events team.
• Create and/or convert Word, PowerPoint, and Excel documents to brand standards.
• Provide administrative support to the Marketing team.
• Assist with graphic design overflow in Canva or Adobe InDesign.
• Work independently and with a creative team on various projects.
• Assist with execution of the company-wide mid-year meeting.
• Performs special projects and other duties as requested.

We are looking to add a Marketing Intern to join our Corporate Marketing team in the West Des Moines, IA office. Offering a forward-thinking, innovative, and vibrant company culture. Join us for our 10-week summer program for an internship opportunity that will give you invaluable insights into the industry while getting exposure to learning and developing your skills.

You will:

• Support the planning and execution of corporate events alongside the marketing events team.

• Create and/or convert Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel documents to our corporate brand standards.

• Provide administrative support to the Marketing team.

• Support graphic design overflow projects in Canva or Adobe InDesign.

• Work independently and as part of a creative team on projects of all shapes and sizes.

• Assist with execution of the company-wide mid-year meeting.

• Performs special projects and other duties as requested.
