Job summary

The Dallas Sports Commission is seeking a Marketing Intern for 2027 to gain hands-on experience in event social media as well as the planning, execution, and marketing of sporting events in the Dallas area. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to think creatively, and collaborate effectively with the DSC team to ensure successful events for partners and attendees.

Qualifications

• Experience with social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and YouTube.
• Website management knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to multi-task and stay detail oriented.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Hours: 29 per week during business hours; some nights and weekends may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with content creation for DSC social media and managing the platforms.
• Assist in developing and updating all DSC website content.
• Provide real-time coverage of live DSC events and functions.
• Assist with overall marketing and publicity of calendar events.
• Develop comprehensive post-event reports as needed.
• Interact with event rights holders regarding local marketing of their event.
• Assist at events promoting Dallas, the Dallas Sports Commission, and future events to boost attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
