Job summary

Mortenson in Chicago is seeking a Marketing Intern to join our marketing and business development team. You’ll support internal and external communications, events, and research while learning alongside project teams and partners.

This paid summer internship (May–August 2027) offers hands-on experience, real projects, and opportunities to build graphic design skills using Adobe Creative Suite, while contributing to brand consistency across digital channels.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate four-year degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, Journalism, Business, or related field.
• Strong interest in marketing and graphic design with demonstrated portfolio or coursework.
• Experience with graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support internal communications and proposals by gathering project and team information.
• Maintain personnel and project data and files in company systems.
• Create and organize graphics and photography for marketing materials; use design software to craft logos and layouts.
• Collaborate with local and corporate marketing teams to develop concepts and execute designs.
• Assist with researching external partner organizations to support business development.
• Maintain brand consistency across digital channels in your work.
• Research and apply current design trends and techniques.
