Job summary

Ixonia Bank in Wisconsin invites applications for a paid, onsite Marketing Internship for Summer 2027. The estimated start date is on or after May 3, 2027.

The role supports the Marketing Director with materials, promotions, and communications across branches. You will gain experience in designing promotional materials, writing content for direct mail, email campaigns, and posts on the bank's website and social channels, and assist with event coordination and campaign administration.

Qualifications

  • Current student enrolled in Marketing program.
  • Knowledge of Banking industry preferred, but not required.
  • High School or higher education completed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Marketing Director with materials preparation and administrative support.
  • Prepare promotional materials, maintain stock, and handle branch promotions.
  • Support mailings and write correspondence for ad-hoc and in-branch mailings.
  • Design and write direct mail pieces, email content, brochures, and collateral.
  • Help with website and social media content creation and updates.
  • Coordinate bank events with branch managers and volunteers.
  • Perform other marketing and admin duties and events as needed.

This paid, onsite internship is posted for the Summer of 2027, estimated start date would be on or shortly after May 3, 2027.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Marketing Director in the preparation of materials, and provide marketing and administrative support of Bank departments, programs, and initiatives.
  • Provide assistance with the preparation of promotional materials, maintaining stock, and delivering of such materials for Branch promotion administration.
  • Provide support in processing mailings, and assistance in writing correspondence for ad-hoc, serial and in-branch mailing programs.
  • Provide assistance in designing and writing of direct mail pieces, email marketing content, brochures, and other collateral as needed.
  • Assist with creation and maintenance of website and social media content.
  • Assist with coordination of bank events, working with branch managers and employee volunteers (grand openings, ribbon cuttings, parades, cookouts, school events, etc)
  • Performs and assists with other marketing and administrative related duties and special projects and events as required.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: (Competencies)

  • Ability to think both creatively and analytically.
  • Must show an aptitude to learn and work with databases.
  • Must possess proven and polished writing skills; organizational skills; and communications skills.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail; and possess and demonstrate excellent proofreading and writing abilities.
  • Must be able to interact professionally with all levels of Bank Management and Directors.
  • Must exhibit an understanding of, and compliance with, applicable federal and state banking laws and regulations.

Level of Education, Experience or Equivalent: Current student enrolled in a Marketing program or related field. Knowledge of Banking industry preferred, but not required.
