Doherty Enterprises is seeking a Marketing Intern to join our Marketing Team at the Corporate Support Center in Allendale, NJ. This hands-on internship offers experience across community marketing, digital content, email campaigns, guest engagement, events, reporting, and local restaurant initiatives, with on-site work in Allendale.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed degree in marketing or related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Proficiency with Canva; familiarity with Canva is a plus
• Experience with or willingness to learn email platforms (e.g., Mailchimp)
• Comfortable collaborating with restaurant teams, guests, and community partners

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on local marketing campaigns and special projects
• Help build and distribute guest email campaigns using platforms such as Mailchimp
• Gather and organize email marketing analytics and campaign results
• Monitor, track, and assist with responses to guest reviews across Google, Yelp, OpenTable, and Facebook
• Support sponsorship, donation, and community partnership requests across restaurant brands
• Coordinate donation and sponsorship payments with accounting and distribute materials to recipients
• Provide general administrative support to the Marketing Team, including answerings and directing calls
• Assist with other Marketing Team projects as needed

Position & Perks

Doherty Enterprises is looking for a motivated and creative Marketing Intern to join our Marketing Team at our Corporate Support Center in Allendale, NJ.

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone interested in gaining real-world marketing experience in a fast-paced, multi-brand restaurant organization. You'll work alongside our Marketing Team and support a variety of projects including community marketing, digital content, email marketing, guest engagement, events, reporting, and local restaurant initiatives.

This internship is on-site in Allendale, NJ and may be scheduled for up to 40 hours per week if desired.

What You'll Gain

This internship provides exposure to multiple areas of marketing while working with a portfolio of well-known restaurant brands. You'll gain hands-on experience with digital marketing, community outreach, guest engagement, email marketing, website content, reputation management, campaign analytics, and local restaurant marketing while working directly with an experienced Marketing Team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on local marketing campaigns and special projects
• Help build and distribute guest email campaigns using platforms such as Mailchimp
• Gather and organize email marketing analytics and campaign results
• Monitor, track, and assist with responses to guest reviews across Google, Yelp, OpenTable, and Facebook
• Support sponsorship, donation, and community partnership requests across our restaurant brands
• Help coordinate community programs, events, and local restaurant marketing initiatives
• Attend select community events as a representative of our restaurant brands
• Update community events and other content on company and restaurant websites
• Support third-party delivery menus, listings, and other digital restaurant information
• Assist with creating, organizing, and distributing marketing materials to restaurant locations
• Compile marketing data, maintain tracking sheets, and prepare reports
• Support content development for the company's internal newsletter
• Coordinate donation and sponsorship payments with accounting and distribute materials to recipients
• Provide general administrative support to the Marketing Team, including answering and directing calls
• Assist with other Marketing Team projects as needed

What We're Looking For

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field preferred

• Creative, organized, and eager to learn

• Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and/or Lightroom is a plus
• Experience with platforms such as BentoBox, Mailchimp, Google Business, Yelp, OpenTable, or Facebook is a plus, but not required
• Comfortable learning new technology and digital platforms
• Ability to work on-site at our Allendale, NJ Corporate Support Center
• Availability to attend occasional community events as needed
