Grow Clinton seeks a creative, organized, and service‑oriented Part‑Time Marketing & Hospitality Coordinator to promote the Clinton area as a destination for visitors, group tours, events, and community experiences.

The Coordinator will maintain and improve digital tools used to promote the community, including social media, tourism website content, event calendars, visitor applications, online listings, aggregators, mapping services, and other visitor‑information platforms.

Qualifications

  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent; marketing, communications, tourism, hospitality, graphic design, PR, business or related field preferred.
  • Experience in social media, digital marketing, communications, hospitality, tourism, events, customer service or related area.
  • Demonstrated ability to create effective social media graphics and other digital promotional materials.
  • Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or comparable tools.
  • Strong writing, proofreading, organization, customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or with a team.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and event-based assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Digital Marketing & Content Management: Manage tourism-focused social media content per campaigns and brand standards; create and publish content promoting events, attractions, dining, lodging, arts and seasonal experiences; maintain a content calendar and capture photos or short videos for promotion; respond to public messages and visitor questions promptly; update tourism website content and listings; review information across platforms for accuracy; help ensure information is discoverable; track basic digital performance (reach, engagement, traffic).
  • Graphic Design & Digital Assets: Create attractive, on-brand graphics for social media, campaigns, and website use; adapt materials for platforms; maintain library of assets; ensure branding consistency and accessibility.
  • Hospitality, Tours & Events: Provide welcoming information to visitors, assist with group visits and events, prepare visitor materials and itineraries, provide on-site support during larger events, coordinate check-ins, wayfinding and partner communications, capture photos/content for future marketing.

  • Schedule: Part-time; occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and event-based hours may be required.
Position Summary

Grow Clinton seeks a creative, organized, and service-oriented Part-Time Marketing & Hospitality Coordinator to help promote the Clinton area as a destination for visitors, group tours, events, and community experiences.

The Coordinator will maintain and improve the digital tools used to promote the community, including social media, tourism website content, event calendars, visitor applications, online listings, aggregators, mapping services, and other visitor-information platforms. The position also provides hands‑on hospitality support for group visits, large events, and periods of high visitor activity.

This is a growth‑focused role. Grow Clinton will periodically review workload, performance, program needs, and available resources as it considers expanding the role to full‑time with additional responsibilities.

Essential Responsibilities

Digital Marketing & Content Management

  • Manage tourism-focused social media content in alignment with Grow Clinton’s communications strategy, brand standards, and campaigns.
  • Create, schedule, publish, and monitor content that promotes area events, attractions, businesses, recreation, dining, lodging, arts, history, and seasonal experiences.
  • Maintain a content calendar and capture photographs, short‑form video, stories, and other digital assets for tourism promotion.
  • Respond to or route public messages and visitor questions promptly and professionally.
  • Update and maintain tourism website content, event calendars, attraction listings, visitor resources, business directories, and related digital information.
  • Review designated platforms for inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or inconsistent information, including event details, hours, links, locations, and contact information.
  • Help ensure Clinton‑area information is accurate and discoverable through visitor apps, mapping services, online calendars, aggregators, and artificial intelligence‑enabled discovery tools.
  • Track basic digital performance measures, such as content output, reach, engagement, website activity, and referral traffic.

Graphic Design & Digital Assets

  • Create attractive, accurate, and on‑brand graphics for social media, digital campaigns, event promotion, website use, email communications, and visitor information.
  • Adapt approved campaign materials into formats appropriate for designated platforms and audiences.
  • Maintain an organized library of approved photos, videos, templates, logos, graphics, and other digital assets.
  • Support consistent branding, accessibility, readability, and visitor‑friendly messaging across assigned materials.

Hospitality, Tours & Events

  • Provide welcoming, accurate, and timely information to visitors, tour groups, event attendees, travel planners, and community guests.
  • Assist with group visits, motor coach tours, familiarization tours, special events, and other visitor‑facing activities.
  • Prepare or distribute visitor materials, maps, itineraries, schedules, directions, local recommendations, welcome packets, signage, and other day‑of‑visit information.
  • Provide on‑site support during larger events or periods when multiple groups are visiting the area.
  • Coordinate visitor touches such as check‑in support, wayfinding, partner communication, photography, refreshments, and follow‑up information, as assigned.
  • Capture photographs and short‑form content during tours and events for future marketing use, consistent with applicable permissions and privacy expectations.

Partner Support and Reporting

  • Coordinate with attractions, event organizers, businesses, municipalities, and tourism partners to collect updated information, photos, schedules, and visitor‑facing materials.
  • Encourage partners to maintain accurate listings and provide timely updates about events, hours, promotions, closures, and visitor amenities.
  • Maintain organized records of content updates, hospitality activity, partner outreach, event support, and assigned performance measures.
  • Provide regular updates to the supervisor regarding completed work, upcoming needs, opportunities, and emerging visitor‑information issues.
  • Perform other marketing, tourism, hospitality, communications, and community‑promotion duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Required
    • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant education in marketing, communications, tourism, hospitality, graphic design, public relations, business, or a related field is preferred.
    • Experience in social media, digital marketing, communications, hospitality, tourism, events, customer service, or a related area.
    • Demonstrated ability to create effective social media graphics and other digital promotional materials.
    • Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or comparable graphic‑design and content tools.
    • Strong writing, proofreading, organization, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate public information, and work independently and collaboratively.
    • Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and event‑based assignments.
    • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, or the ability to travel locally as required.
  • Preferred
    • Experience in destination marketing, tourism promotion, visitor services, chamber work, economic development, or community engagement.
    • Familiarity with website content‑management systems, event calendars, online directories, visitor applications, mapping platforms, or tourism data tools.
    • Experience with photography and short‑form video for digital marketing.
    • Knowledge of the Clinton area and its visitor assets, attractions, events, businesses, recreation, lodging, dining, history, and amenities.
