Job summary

Brazos Valley Schools Credit Union is seeking an on-site Events Coordinator to help develop and implement the marketing event plan. You will coordinate and execute various community events, seminars, and financial literacy activities while representing the Credit Union at public engagements.

The role requires strong public speaking, project management, and relationship-building with business and education leaders. Flexible hours, occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends are expected.

Qualifications

• Event planning or related public speaking experience preferred.
• High school education or GED required.
• Ability to manage projects through to completion.
• Proficient with problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work regular full-time hours, with flexibility in schedule for early mornings, evenings and some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates special events and implementation as required for proper execution of each event.
• Creates and manages all outside Credit Union events and activities (seminars, financial literacy, reality fairs).
• Public speaking representative for events of all sizes (up to 200+).
• Maintains a calendar of BVSCU community events and coordinates employee participation.
• Develops and maintains relationships with key leaders within the business community and school districts.
• Assist with the continued development of our financial literacy program (interactive presentations, home buying, reality fair).
• Monitor community trends and recommend additions/changes to the Community Events calendar.
• Attend school and community functions with MDRs as needed.
