Job description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Marketing Director is responsible for developing and executing the bank’s overall marketing and communications strategy to enhance brand awareness, attract new customers, support community engagement, and promote the bank’s products & services. This position reports directly to the President.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develops and implements marketing plans that align with the bank’s strategic goals and objectives
  • Leads the bank’s branding, advertising, public relations, and community initiatives
  • Collaborates with management to support bank-wide initiatives, and ensures consistent brand messaging across all bank channels and materials
  • Oversee the development, content, compliance, and ongoing management of the bank’s website
  • Manages marketing functions and budgets for advertising, community sponsorships, donation requests, and promotional activities
  • Tracks, analyzes, and reports to management the productivity and performance for marketing campaigns, digital channels, customer engagement, and return on investment
  • Implements and manages approved marketing tools and platforms
  • Stays abreast of external marketing conditions, conducts market analysis and customer research to determine industry trends and market demands of bank competitors
  • Works closely with the compliance department to stay up to date on internal policies and regulations
  • Actively participates in local community events, and serves as a community Ambassador
  • Manages the bank employee apparel store
  • Serves as the bank event planner
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
EDUCATION &/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related degree of equivalent professional qualification AND a minimum of 5-year experience in carrying out and managing marketing strategies.

MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to sit/stand/kneel/bend/for extended periods of time, lift up to 20 lbs consistently, developed interpersonal abilities, ability to work under high pressure while remaining composed. Strong communication skills – both oral and written, with attention to detail, is critical.

COMPETENCIES

Relevant product & industry knowledge, relevant software applications, experience with managing social media sites, formal presentation skills, analysis/problem solving skills, team leadership, time management & organizational skills, decision making, adaptability, and sound judgment.
