Job description

We are seeking a Director of Marketing to lead strategy, execution, and performance across a growing, multi-location professional services organization. This role is responsible for building a thoughtful, data driven marketing function that supports client acquisition, revenue growth, and brand credibility as the organization expands into new markets.

This is a hands-on leadership role for a marketer who is both strategic and revenue minded. Someone who understands that lead volume alone is not success and who can tie marketing activity directly to measurable business outcomes.

The Director of Marketing will partner closely with senior leadership, manage and develop a Marketing Manager, and own marketing strategy, planning, analytics, and budget oversight. This role sits as part of a small team and the ideal candidate will need to be both high level strategy while also being able to execute when necessary.

Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy and Growth
  • Own end to end marketing strategy across digital and traditional channels with a focus on qualified lead generation and revenue impact
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new office launches and geographic expansion
  • Identify opportunities beyond referral only growth, including lifecycle marketing, client engagement, and demand generation
  • Lead competitive research, market analysis, and positioning for current and future markets
  • Ensure marketing efforts clearly articulate services, value, and impact in a professional, credible, and consistent tone
Leadership and Team Development
  • Manage and mentor a Marketing Manager, providing structure, guidance, and professional development
  • Create scalable marketing processes, workflows, and best practices
  • Serve as the primary marketing leader, owning strategy, priorities, and execution rather than acting solely as an individual contributor
Analytics, ROI, and Performance
  • Own marketing analytics, dashboards, and reporting across channels
  • Track leads through the funnel from first touch to signed contract using CRM and case management systems
  • Evaluate campaign performance with a clear focus on ROI, revenue contribution, and pipeline impact
  • Continuously optimize spend, channels, and tactics based on data and real business results
Budget and Channel Management
  • Build and manage the marketing budget, allocating spend based on performance and growth priorities
  • Oversee digital marketing efforts including paid search, website content, email marketing, and SEO partnerships
  • Evaluate and recommend new channels, tools, and tactics aligned with brand and audience expectations
  • Collaborate with external partners as needed while maintaining internal ownership of strategy
Brand and Messaging
  • Ensure a polished, professional brand presence across all marketing communications
  • Lead storytelling efforts that highlight expertise, service outcomes, and team-based value.
  • Maintain a thoughtful, empathetic, and mission aligned approach to messaging across all touchpoints.
Qualifications
  • Eight or more years of progressive marketing experience, including leadership responsibility
  • B2C experience preferred ideally with multi-unit or multi-location exposure
  • Proven success driving revenue linked marketing outcomes, not just lead volume
  • Strong understanding of demand generation, lifecycle marketing, and attribution
  • Comfort working closely with executive leadership and owning strategic initiatives
  • Highly analytical with the ability to translate data into clear recommendations
  • Experience managing marketing budgets and demonstrating ROI
  • Proficiency with tools such as Google Analytics, email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp, and CRM type systems
