OnePay seeks a Senior Marketing Counsel to be the legal partner for a fast-growing marketing organization. You will translate ambitious go-to-market ideas into compliant, defensible launches by drafting and negotiating agreements with marketing, brand, design, paid media, and product teams.

Ideal candidates bring a J.D., 8+ years in marketing/ad-tech law, and a track record of advising C-suite. You’ll lead with practical risk-taking, strong drafting skills, and an AI-forward mindset to

Qualifications

• J.D. with active U.S. state bar membership.
• 8+ years of legal experience including law firm or in-house.
• Deep experience in marketing, advertising, and ad tech law.
• History partnering with C-suite and executives.
• Strong drafting and negotiation across agency, vendor, talent, partnerships.
• AI-forward: comfortable using AI tools to speed reviews.
• Act-like-an-owner with business-first risk mindset.
• Clear, concise communication across creative, technical, and non-legal audiences.
• Curious, adaptable, low ego, high ownership.

Responsibilities

• Advise across the marketing lifecycle as the primary legal partner.
• Draft and negotiate marketing, brand, design, paid media, and product agreements.
• Advise on ad tech, privacy, and consumer data compliance.
• Structure creator, influencer, and brand collaboration agreements.
• Design and review rewards programs, sweepstakes, and promotions.
• Advise on affiliate marketing disclosures and payout structures.
• Support production and content development agreements.
• Assist with claim development, disclosures, and substantiation.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate workflows while protecting confidentiality.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
