Job summary

Harvey seeks a Senior Counsel- Marketing to join the legal team as the primary legal contact for all marketing and communications activity. You will safeguard promotional messaging, assist with contracts and commercial relationships, and partner with growth teams to enable fast, responsible campaigns at scale.

You will advise on advertising law, data privacy, and substantiation, while negotiating marketing agreements and guiding cross-functional partners across the business.

Qualifications

• J.D. and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
• 8+ years of relevant experience at a law firm and/or in-house, with exposure to marketing and commercial contracting.
• Strong knowledge of advertising/marketing law and consumer protection.
• Experience drafting and negotiating high-volume marketing agreements with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Review and advise on marketing language across promotional materials to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Balance commercial, marketing, compliance, and privacy concerns across campaigns (US and international).
• Advise on targeted and digital advertising practices, including data/privacy tracking for DTC marketing.
• Serve as embedded legal partner to Marketing and Communications leadership to enable rapid, responsible campaigns.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and with the commercial group on global marketing agreements.
