Job summary

Plante Moran, PLLC is seeking a detail‑oriented writer and marketer to join the Pursuit Strategy & Proposal Team in a fast‑paced setting. You will coordinate tasks, help craft proposals, and ensure high‑quality deliverables for internal partners and external audiences.

You’ll train staff on proposal best practices, assist strategists with complex bids, manage research programs, and publish weekly leadership reports. Travel locally and interstate may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, Communications, Business Administration, or related field.
• Approximately 1 year of experience in marketing/sales/writing (internships, volunteer positions, and similar work counted).
• Willingness to travel locally and interstate.
• Occasional overtime may be required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute tasks for multiple projects to deliver successful firm proposals.
• Create, review, and deliver proposals to internal partners, including content selection and formatting.
• Train Administrative Team on proposal best practices and editing.
• Assist Pursuit Strategists with large proposals, including formatting and writing.
• Coordinate internal and external research programs and projects, including audience identification and tracking.
• Maintain internal database and share best practices; support data analytics and annual reports.
• Create and publish weekly reports to senior leaders.
• Plan and logistics of internal team meetings.

The members of the Pursuit Strategy & Proposal Team serve as strategic partners in helping the firm reach its business goals. Working in a fast-paced and creative environment, we write and design business proposals and presentations to support the firm’s business development and pursuit of new opportunities. We are seeking a candidate with strong interest in writing and marketing.

Your role.

• Responsible for coordination and execution of tasks for a variety of projects that result in successful completion of firm new business proposals
• Works with team to create, review, and deliver proposals to internal firm partners, which will include: review, selection, and customization of content from our library, document formatting, selection and customization of graphics, proofreading, and communication with internal colleagues and other teams
• Trains firm Administrative Team on proposal best practices, including: formatting, locating and selecting content, working with practice staff, and editing
• Assists Pursuit Strategists with large proposals, which will include: formatting, researching, and writing
• Coordinates internal and external research programs and projects, including audience identification, communications, and tracking
• Responsible for upkeep of internal database, communicating best practices to the team, assisting with data analytics, and supporting annual reports
• Responsible for creating and publishing weekly report to senior leaders
• Planning and logistics of internal team meetings

The Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, Communications, Business Administration, or other related subject area
• Requires approx. 1 year of experience in marketing/sales/writing, inclusive of internships, volunteer positions, and other work
• This position may require some local and inter-state travel
• This position may require occasional overtime work
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

The compensation range reflects the base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this position across our offices in the following regions: CO, IL, OH, and MA. Please review the position description for the applicable geographic location. Generally, experienced hires are not hired at or near the maximum salary range, as compensation decisions take into account a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to: responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. For early career roles, including campus hires, we offer standardized, market-based starting salaries among individuals within the same hiring group.

The compensation range for this role in CO, IL, OH, and MA is: $21.00-$29.00 per hour.
