Job Title: Media Content Strategist
Location: Fully Remote
Pay Rate: $75,000 salary
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am
- 5:00 pm, some nights and weekends
Primary Job Function: The Media Content Strategist will develop tactical and compelling brand messaging that drives engagement and conversions across diverse platforms, including video, audio, out-of-home (OOH), and digital marketing campaigns. The Content Strategist is responsible for ideating, developing, and producing content for brand campaigns with our clients and internal stakeholders. The Content Strategist will work with the Media Services team to expand its services to current and new clients.
Job Duties
- Ideate and develop compelling advertising concepts that translate across multiple channels
- Utilize storytelling skills to create emotionally engaging and brand-relevant narratives
- Understanding of consumer behavior and how messaging resonates in different formats
- Write scripts for video ads.
- Craft compelling audio scripts and provide direction for engaging voice overs.
- Creating high-impact, concise messaging for billboards and other out-of-home venues
- Develop copy for display ads, landing pages, and messaging for incorporation in email campaigns
- Write effective calls-to-action (CTAs) that drive engagement and conversions
- Conduct audience and competitor research to inform messaging
- Align copy with campaign objectives, brand positioning, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Work closely with media placement team, designers, video producers, SEO and marketing coaching teams
- Present ideas to clients and stakeholders with clarity and confidence
- Maintain use of SEO best practices for digital ads and content
- Utilize A/B testing copy variations to optimize performance
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in content strategy, copywriting, and content marketing in an agency, media company, or in-house marketing team
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field strongly preferred
- Proven ability to manage and oversee content initiatives
- Strong portfolio demonstrating successful multi-channel campaigns that include proven success required
- Thrives when managing multiple projects and delivers outstanding customer engagement
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment
- Quality phone and virtual presence
- Demonstrated core customer service skills, always exhibiting customer-oriented decisions
